you can still get buried and stuck with lockers. Winch is more useful for most situations. if you have a shovel and something to bury ie your spare tire chances are you have an anchor point.
you can call Timbren and someone who works there and is an engineer will actually answer the phone. I called and ordered some heavier springs (rubber wedges) directly from them. It only took a couple of days to get them. they answered all my questions and were great to deal with.
what kind of dual battery system do you guys run? I have an ARB 50 and just have been running it off the starter battery and usually don't sit for longer than 20 hours when out camping. It makes me nervous tho.
This is not a knock because the only one who matters is the one who paid for it, so if you are the one paying and you love it that is how it should be. I personally can not get over the looks of the Frontier so I would never buy one even if it were less money than all the other pickups out...
If you are looking at Toyo M/T in 285/75-17 give the Cooper ST Maxx a look as it is considerable cheaper if you live in the NW where Les Schwabb has the freaking Toyo market locked up. If doing a lot of mud the Toyo will be better but if spend a fair amount of time on pavement and forest service...
if it were me I would still get the zr2 even if I did not like the bumper but if not that the trd pro or a base F250 single cab long box for the same money.
bumpers can be replaced. I think AEV is doing some ZR2 stuff. I was jonsing for one and ended up getting a new wrangler instead and some times I still kick myself. I would test drive them both as the gas has more giddy up and not like it is going to be much of a tow vehicle.
I have a Yeti 50 and just bought a ARB 50L and have had it on a 2 week trip and several weekend trips and never ever will I go back to using the Yeti except to haul ice now and then. My first weekend trip I used both and thought it would be cool to have drinks and ice in the Yeti and food in...
I have put well over 20,000+ rounds of 9mm and .40s down range and never had an issue with 9mm cycling. I once went well over 2000 rounds without cleaning my gat and just kept on putting rounds thru until I felt guilty of gun abuse.
