    keeping rubber goods fresh

I have kept running shoes in sealed tupperware bins in the dark and several years later the rubber soles and midsoles are like new. I would say if really concerned keep your rubber products in a sealed bin and out of the light or extreme heat. There is some rubber that comes treated in a waxy...

best AT tires for ride quality?

I put a lot of miles on at 75-80 mph. The st maxx is a more aggressive tire off road but just as smooth and quiet at 80 mph on road. This in a 285/75-17 e rated tire vs the c rated 275/70-17 at3 so that in itself is impressive. This is on 4 door wranglers. The st maxx also wear extremely well. I...

    2019 Ford Ranger Taking Orders

I know some people love them but I would not own a Nissan frontier, some people like them but I don't like how they look and have to like how something looks first and foremost.

    2019 Ford Ranger Taking Orders

I had a new 1991 ford ranger 4x4 it was a POS as far as a 4x4 went. I traded a 1983 Isuzu pup 4x4 that I bought new for it and that was a much better offroader but it was a rust bucket body wise. if there was a new little truck the size of the early 80's Isuzu's that put out the power like...

best AT tires for ride quality?

in the recent last couple of years I have had cooper at3, Toyo at2, Toyo R/T, BFG KO2 and several sets of Cooper ST Maxx's. (I am a tire whore) Of those my least favorites have been the AT3's. I really like the ST Maxx's. I do a lot of offroading, altho 60% offroad is a lot, not sure any tire...

    KLR 650

the two things that need improvement are the brakes and engine power output. Oh and fork springs once you improve the front brakes. Brakes and forks are easy fixes, lack of power not so much.

    inexpensive 12v tire inflator

a viar 88 is way too small for truck tires. I would use that on my daughters honda civic but not on a jeep or truck tire. you need a 400P I use mine all the time pumping 35's up and no issues, but any compressor will get hot that is how they work they are like a car piston.

Drove a JKU and JLU back to back yesterday...JK is still better.

I forgot to add the 2 door photo. If I was in the market for another 2 door wrangler I could handle the looks of this but unless I could talk my wife into getting a 2 door for her dd i will never again get a 2 door. For some reason it looks less soft than the 4 door to me.

For those that carry Guns and Overlanding

I have a fair amount of training, I was a swat officer for 12 years and full time LE for 30. If my wife or daughters were at a mall or some place where a wacked out person decided to open fire I would rather have 20 rednecks carrying than one peacenik handing out flowers regardelss of how...

Drove a JKU and JLU back to back yesterday...JK is still better.

you can dorman replacements for like .99. I carry a couple but have never needed them in 7 years but something I have worried about. Even if someone does not have a spare or two you can use a zip tie to get to dry land :) Looking at the JL's I can see that having potential problems as well if...

Drove a JKU and JLU back to back yesterday...JK is still better.

looks like the JL has improved on the bushings but the jury is still out on whether they will prove to be any better. I think either style if you ham fist the shifter you are going to pop them loose. either way neither style should be something that strands you if you take the time to learn...

Drove a JKU and JLU back to back yesterday...JK is still better.

I am not aware of any JK's that had signal lights on the fenders from the factory. i know some people have wired the amber marker lights to come on as turn signals.

For those that carry Guns and Overlanding

those who want to carry should carry without needing any justification and those who don't want to carry should be allowed to not carry without justification. I am glad I live where the choice is mine and nobody else's, altho if I lived in a place where the choice was made for me I would still...

Drove a JKU and JLU back to back yesterday...JK is still better.

My neighbor is the GM at the local DRCJ dealership and now drives a new JL rubicon. I get to see it everyday, it still is not growing on me. I liked the TJ's the first time I saw one and I liked the JK's the first time I saw one. There is just something about the JL that is not doing it for...

JKU suspension upgrade needed - Opinions Welcome

I have had Rock Krawler coils in 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5 and while I loved the ride on and off road both the 2.5 and 3.5 rear coils sagged. RK warrantied the first set after jumping thru all kinds of hoops and blaming the sag on everything else. The actually tried to blame it on my shocks (shocks...
