Where is the shunt for the battery monitor? I would advise a dedicated ground wire for every circuit, do not use chassis ground for the DC. The Victron inverter installation manual should have all the grounding details.

We are 11'6'' . The only places it has been an issue; White Rim, Road to the Sun, and a few Mexican town centers that can be easily avoided. We have friends with similar height vehicles that would not go down the trails we did, but that is a pin striping issue not access.

Solar will not drain the battery if there is no sun. Make sure you disconnect all loads and just charge for battery maintenance.
