Rugged offroader the Transit isn't. Econolines with good suspension seem to be the ticket for Baja style offroad travel. Maybe some folks take their 4x4 sprinters on trails and use low range to creep over things but if I had one, it would be 90% pavement pounder and 10% maintained gravel or dirt...

GM van center console / seat
I bought this center seat out of an F150 and Fabbed these brackets to mount it. Brackets bolt to existing OEM seat hardware. Worked great, now have a van with an extra row of seating. Seat and brackets $200

Yep, when it comes to campers, towing and hauling a Taco is no comparison to a 3/4 or 1 ton diesel. Tacos still have the advantage for offroading though.
