    F-350 Air Springs

You have to stiffen up the damping to smooth washboards. There is no free lunch. You'll still need some beefy rear springs with the camper.

    2008 Ford Explorer comments please

2 birds with 1 stone ain't an Explorer. 4runner or f150 cc, is my vote.

Rides like a car, locking rear diff

Zr2. If you tint the windows well, it's harder to see the ugly in the interior.

    F-350 Air Springs

I'll 2nd that Kel stinks. Looked up that camper, a bit heavy. I'd stick to the 2.5" kits. Also consider a set of King coilovers up front, trac bar, caster bushings, and nothing but shocks in the rear. That way you have adjustable ride ht, and can even go up to a 3.0 shock. If you...

GMC Savana / Chevy Express Roof Racks

Pretty sure you can drill into, and through bolt those lips. Contractors do it all of the time for ladders and pipe. (If you want to DIY it)

    F-350 Air Springs

Carli, or Bds and some King shocks. Firmer shocks, and hydraulic bump stops may allow softer spring choices. Do not go over 18" wheel diameter at all cost. 37" Cooper stt's ride well. Camper ?

    Pressurize a camper

There's an intense + pressure wave at the nose of the trailer. A simple filtered air inlet there would do the trick. Same reason your AC in vent is at the bottom of your windshield, and not on the fender. On my older Ford F250, the bed liner would get air under it's rear and inflate and...

    Does Speed Add Weight?

Generally, most cars generate lift at greater speeds. Flat (even if bumpy) bottom, round smooth tops. Just like a wing.

When did this 'shop won't touch a tire over 4yrs old' stuff start?

Loose tires/wheels have different rules at my local chains. If you just drop off 4 loose wheels with no "road hazard"stuff, they'll consider them off road or race tires. Then they have more wiggle room. My trucks aluminum, so it'll sit on jack stands at home for a day or two, when it...

so when is enough too much when winching or tugging out?

Shovel. Cribbage. Mankind used to move giant stones by hand with just basic tools. You can't win a tug of war with the Earth. Don't be one of those guys with too much winch, and rip your frame right off of the axles. ..and +1 on the Lightforce. I'll take those or FYRLYT's over little...

Swapping out hitch mounts for more articulation, good idea?

Pintels rule. When I had my jeep, it had a nice rear bumper with a 2" receiver inside it. So no hitch hanging under the jeep. I have no idea if it was any good, I never used it. That being said, don't think about any kind of anti theft, even if you unbolt the ring and run off with it...

EXD 350 - EarthCruiser on flat bed

That walk through shower is genius. Nice to see a company that actually gets dirty and knows about such.

    Troubling issue with 05 tahoe

Yeah, the Tahoe guys are kinda jumpy. Married to their trucks, and don't like you calling them fat. Our anemic Express 3500's do this from time to time. They just sit there going "Errrrrrrrrrr" with no wheel spin. Spinning the input shaft of the trans, with nothing coming out of the...

    Classic Bronco?

I'd love to have a solid axle Bronco, and swap in a Dana 60. (guess the donor vehicle, I dare ya!) But I'd rather have a Ramcharger than anything TTI. We don't like the TTI around here, like the west coast guys do.

    Troubling issue with 05 tahoe

My truck won't fling mud much in 2wd. The truck knows that 4wd is available, and won't let me abuse it in 2wd. Maybe the Tahoe is similar? I'd suspect it's the ECM, traction control, and try it again in 4L. I doubt your trans is damaged, you'd notice that more. I had a similar issue...

Most Durable tent for my money?

Big tents don't hold up to wind, where I camp. I just use Mountain Hardwear's lower line of tents. Not the ultralight versions. And then just get a 3 person instead of 2 for more room. I only use tents to change and sleep. I don't spend any time in them.

    Aluminium framed body?

I'm seeing a ton of aluminium bonding in airplanes and trucks. Done right, it's much stronger. But from what I've seen, they still had a few bolts rivets mixed in there. The new Fords are bonded where the back wall of the door or hood, come together with the outer skin. They are...

    Classic Bronco?

Also check out the early Ram Chargers. Similar to the Bronco, but without any fanfare, and cheap. That short wheelbase stinks on the hwy, though.

Long distance off-road capable moto hauler…

The Kings are made of the same aluminum stuff as Fox, Icon, or anything else. They all will pit and get wasted quick if you don't maintain them. Quality shocks require rebuilds. Get the tools, and have fun with it. With any shock, you should hang some rubber on them to protect the...
