New?? Suzuki Jimny looks like baby Wrangler/Gelandewagen

Not sure what the road laws are like in that country. Looks like it handles as poorly as a Chevy Express van. Or the driver was drunk.

    How important is GVWR?

When the box marked "may have a less than optimal, stiff or harsh ride", is OK for dealers to check, it's easier to make a secure towing/hauling truck. Lesser trucks are severely compromised when they can't check that box. I'm still amazed that manufacturers still can't make long travel air...

Questions for the Suburban/Yukon XL owners out there...

It's a simple 1500 vs 2500 thread. I didn't even mention F vs G vs D. The 2500 the I DO have experience with, seemed a bit overloaded with a similar load as the OP posted. It wasn't fun to drive. If a 1500 is weaker, on any of the model years chosen, than the 2500 that I drove, I would...

    How important is GVWR?

What's a "half ton", "3/4 ton"??? My 3/4 ton truck has a ton and a half payload capacity. Last I checked the PW is a 2500 with soft springs and a 1500-ish payload capacity. I'd like Ford to make a gas F250 with a similar setup. The Raptor comparisons would be shamefully hilarious...

Questions for the Suburban/Yukon XL owners out there...

What's the GVWR of the 1500 we're talking about? What's it's weight? How much actual weight can it actually handle and remain level or better? I get that you guys have your "feels", but such things as a highlift jack and a 5g bucket of chain at the very rear of the truck, adds up.

Questions for the Suburban/Yukon XL owners out there...

Never mind. Get the 1500. Put as much weight as you want on it, then lock the axle up and wheel it hard with 35's on. Yee-haw. What model years are you interested in?

Questions for the Suburban/Yukon XL owners out there...

The last 'burb I drove was a 2500 with an absolutely pathetic 8600# GVWR. 6 people, a cooler, some basic tools, a RTT on the roof, and that little trailer would pretty much max it out. Keep in mind that 'burbs are already a bit porky compared to a pickup truck, so that GVWR doesn't leave...

Ford Patents An SUV Lift Gate Curtain

LOLz. I just wear a Speedo under my bathing suit. So I can get into my wetsuit without being naked. Just like women in bikinis do. Done diving, I put the swim trunks back on. I might spend a whole week in a bathing suit, so no big deal. #leatherSeatKingRanchProblems How...

    Super Duallies any good off-road

Many mil trucks stay on pavement. I guess for us that means lockers, lifts, and powerwagon stickers. So we can expo at the mall.

It's better than being stuck, air up ASAP. The sidewalls will rub through each other.

RAVELCO has one drawback. You have to install it. Not your dealer, not your mechanic, not your bro, not your kid sister. You need to know where it terminates, so that YOU can bypass it back to OEM should it fail, or should you need to take it to a dealer. Since car keys ain't so happy...

Advice Needed:: Tacoma owner considering a ZR2

+2. I don't know how GM can come out with interiors any worse. One of our service trucks has the pass air bag warning light on the rear view mirror where it blinds us at night. Not to mention that the mirror is absolutely huge and blocks the view in right turns. No passenger leg room...

No point in taking it with you. Unless you want to pull the AC relay, light relay, Fuel pump relay, high beam relay, massaging butt seats relay, etc. etc. Just leave it loose in the box. One of the 1st things I do trouble shooting, is to swap the AC and FP relays.

Don't waste money with GPS and cell devices. They have a very weak signal in a metal container or garage. (amazing that modern cells can work inside of such, at all) Any measly little jammer will be able to block those. Cops can't enter a garage just because your phone is pinging from...

The "135-246R" transmission. Stops them every time. -Don't leave your owners manual in your truck when you drop it off for service. Now they have your access code, and address. -Weld your winch on -Etch your VIN into the windows. All of those will need replaced to "flip" that truck...

Late Model Ford F350 Can't charge the truck camper battery

There was a bad batch of cooler lines a looooong time ago. You can plug the trailer in with the truck running. In fact that's the preferred way to plug and unplug so you don't get the trailer warning fault. Something is wrong if you're popping fuses. There's nothing on the trucks side...

    Favorite highway tire?

I have a set of Mich LTX AT's, the Coopers you picked out are better. I still run ST maxx's and ST Pro's because I've never got a flat, or even picked up a nail with them. Tough tires.
