30 year old Kodiak camper we’ve owned for nearly ten years been from Mexico to Arctic and all over western US. Tons and tons of ******** dirt roads and worse. Not all campers will rattle apart.
Amazing engineering, but for 50+k you're still in an essentially three season camper, cooking outside in bugs/rain/snow/wind which I would find annoying on many trips.
I'm sure you'll get there, but what's your plan for interior finish? Looking great, awesome build.
Agree on propane, the trend is for $$ electric everything, but I think keeping it simple, and relatively cheap is so overlooked. So many people want the most expensive gadgetry/monitors/screens...
Love your build, and it's proven to be quite robust. I also really like your "old school" wood construction technique which has also proven, like many others, to be bomber.
I'm sure you've answered this, but what is approx weight of camper, 3,000lbs?
Looking good. Elevated bed is a great design. Are you using electric actuators? I've had great luck with electric actuators lifting my 200lb pop up/hard side now hundreds of times. Seem pretty reliable and fairly consistent.
