Passing cables from tongue box into trailer when there is a small gap present

I would peruse either the West Marine or Heyco catalogs (https://www.heyco.com/Liquid_Tight_Cordgrips/). I'd think you should be able to find something in there that will fit your needs. A wee bit more of a rudimentary solution would be to drill a hole through the tongue box and the trailer...

    Bruiser the Adventure Cargo Trailer

Colorado Trailers was the only place I saw that offers them. There are a whole suite of options available if you are actually interested and Julie has a nearly unlimited well of patience, she answered questions promptly over the course of several months through design changes. Highly...

    Bruiser the Adventure Cargo Trailer

Hey Dave! Thanks for the feedback. As for toys, I am a mountain biker first and foremost, so as long as I can toss my bike in/on the truck I will be a happy camper. No dirt bikes/quads/utvs/rzrs in my future, so the single door won't prove much of a detractor, in fact, we asked for that door...

    Bruiser the Adventure Cargo Trailer

A few shots of the interior before the disassembly phase begins. I'll be taking it down to the frame to weld in reinforcements in target areas to accommodate the exterior accessories as well as the interior cabinetry. I'll also take the opportunity to begin running wiring to accessories. The...

    Bruiser the Adventure Cargo Trailer

Welcome to the build thread for Bruiser the adventure cargo trailer! Back story: The wife and I have intentions of selling our house, taking the money, and hitting the road. The goal is to head up to Alaska and go as far north as possible, then make our way down the western seaboard, explore...

    2nd Generation Tundra: 4.6 vs 5.7 advice

According to the 2018 catalog, the integrated brake controller comes on all 5.7L equipped models. Older models I don't know. Regardless, I'd recommend getting a Prodigy anyway, the OEM looks pretty rudimentary and I haven't read great feedback about it... Good to know on the towing mirrors...

    2nd Generation Tundra: 4.6 vs 5.7 advice

According to data from fuelly.com (not filtered for cab/bed configuration), Tundras with the 4.6L motor are returning a combined MPG of between 15-16. Tundras with the 5.7L motor are returning a combined MPG of between 14-15 MPG. Not a huge difference in fuel economy between those two, though...

Anyone running Stealth F5 wheels on a 2nd gen Taco?

Which backspacing are you considering? I have 3.5" BS with 255/85R16 KM2s and can echo Wasatch's experience, after removing the mud flaps and knocking a bit of plastic off of the very inner part of the fender flare they fit. I had to trim my plastic splash shield as well and beat the pinch...

Methinks you are right and that a layer of MLV + foam would be to my benefit, after all, my truck isn't the most quiet thing out there and no one has ever complained about it being too quiet right? My platform mounts using the 6 bolts that used to hold the seats down. No brackets are used, just...

Truck wise I had an opportunity on Tuesday to install the King remote reservoir coilovers. The most challenging part was installing the reservoir mounts, ARB bumpers have a hefty frame reinforcement plate that is supposed to relieve front end stresses while winching. Unfortunately the big honkin...

Battleship Jones: 2015 Tacoma DCLB Build Thread

Hadn't posted this one up, but over Labor Day weekend last year the wife and I took a few days off of work and headed up north with the intent of visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. There wasn't a whole lot of dirt involved, but we did travel over land, live out of the truck...

Truck is back! Glamour shots to follow, but I've started making a dent in the small pile of parts I started accumulating while it was gone. Since I first pulled the rear seats and the plastic bins behind the seats, I've had to stare at the ugly combination of Dynamat and foam. I had resolved...

    Wiring for multiple accessories

My first incarnation of an auxiliary electrical system utilized a Blue Sea 12-circuit fuse block. I moved away from that design because I didn't like having to find accommodations for a handful of separate relays. So I am using a Bussman block similar to the fellas above. It's small and...

I can't say I noticed improvement in any of the above, I was doing it more because it had come due at the 30K service interval. I used OEM Toyota iridium plugs (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004T1PLDW/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I checked gaps prior to install and they were all...
