I took my lock apart and found that you can remove a small piece, and voila...... you can now remove the key.
I was going crazy, and thought there had to be a way. After taking it apart it is very easy to see what to remove.

They were laid up in that order. First you brush a layer of resin on the top of the release agent. I hit that with a heat gun, briefly, to get the left over bubbles out. Then the two layers of 12K fabric, and off course in between layers, you have to reapply the resin, then cardboard, and two...
