Yeppers. The OEM tongue box is very nice, but as you want to capitalize on the trailers full potential, there are simply not enough room. I have the small 50 watt panel, and that have been enough except for one time, where a lot of storms kept blowing in, and I had to run the generator for I hr...
I suspect that it will cost about $400 all inclusive all materials. Cups, sticks gloves, and all. Quite expensive, but also quite a big box. Most important, I will get just the box that I want, and wait until you see the way I will customize it. Left side, door to access the storage. Right side...
Yes.
I used to work proffesionally in my home country, building Boats and windmill wings. Continued as I moved stateside, but as a hobby. Back in the mid 90's there was not a lot you could learn about composites, unless you took an apprenticeship. That changed with the rise of the internet in...
I must say that this was good that I started this. It seems like something happened, and the entire page sometimes in the last 30 days, went from published to unpublish. Not sure how it happened, but with peoples FB being hacked, and such, Ohh well. I changed it back to publish, which is sorta...
Last ditch effort, as it seems like something was wrong with the FB page.....

Ha ha ha ha..... now that is funny.
It was a plug I made for the Hawker aircraft we had years back.
Dang thing did not have a flapper valve in it..... and ehhhhh..... things flew around.
Plug worked..... lol.
This truly is a mystery.
Pics and a full build thread coming here soon.
Ha ha ha ha ha...
Not sure what you mean by title.
It is really odd as the FB page is public.
Lemme ask you this.
If you go to FB and in the search bar types:
High desert carbon works.... does that yield any results.?
This is really bizarre.
I agree. Shame on FB.....bastards... really, but it is free. I guess I'm guilty.
I cant tell you how many times I wanted to pull the plug on FB. I don't like what they do, except for the fact that they are free... :).
I guess I'm cheep. I don't really mind moving all my stuff, and there is quite...
I would not be opposed to that, except for a few reasons. I created the FB public page for all to enjoy as it is educational, and shares so may projects I have done in the last 20 years. It takes quite the picture taking, uploading and typing to explain. I did this over on another site (...
Well... dang nap it.... How about this link to the main page? I just checked, and the site is public.

So I did a bit of digging, and as it turns out, even after the album is public, FB requires you to have a FB account to see my public FB website.
Silly.
When the build is all set and done there will be about 125 pictures and I dont think it would be good to clutter up this thread.
I will post a...
Then the new composite bottom was created......
You can follow the build here...

New Carbon Fiber tongue box project have begun. So as not to clutter the thread with all kinds of questions, I thought I would post a few updates here, but link my CF FB page so any one can follow, watch and ask questions as I go.
Trailer front was disassembled....
It truly is a great thread. I dont recall many threads with such massive participation. Specially in such short time.
I am pretty excited about next season and the new mods on the way.
So when you open the back door you can see the two bolts on each side that holds the Smitty logo in place. Unscrew those, and use a scalpel or any blade really, to cut the black silicone between the box and the logo. I just took off the logo, and mounted it in the same holes but inside the box...
