    3 weeks exploring Baja...

Looking forward to hearing and seeing the rest of your story. Glad your border crossing at Mexicali went so smooth and so quick. I usually stay to the smaller towns like Tecate, et al. Much faster and easier but you lucked out!:costumed-smiley-007 Be interested to hear if you had any run ins...

    Heading to Copper Canyon, Mexico

Edmundo (efuentes) knows the area well and has a great blog on the canyons. Did a trip with him a few years back and had a blast. Hope to do another one in the future to cover he other 4 routes though the canyons. Just waiting for the gang activity to slow down so things can get back to normal...

    Toyota now

Why is that these drivers do not simply turn off the ignition? How about putting the transmission in neutral? Why not check the floor mat occasionally to see it is aligned/placed properly? Seems to me it might be mostly driver error! This would be similar to someone shaving or putting on...

    Walky Talkies for trails?

I have been around a corner in a canyon with my CB on a highway to an 18-wheeler and he can't hear me and me him. Further, the same was true in canyons in Moab area between rigs not more than 100 feet apart. Having said that, I have also, with the same CB and 18-wheeler, chatted over 8 miles...

    Toyota now

Consumers are so reactionary. Japan's culture puts "face", honour, dignity above all else. In fact, it is still common to hear about harikari (suicide) to save face. This round of quality control issues is not new news, all manufacturers have suffered this, Ford has the record at some 14...

    Walky Talkies for trails?

When you say Walkie-Talkie, I assume you mean GMRS/FRS as AKRover suggests and they should do the job other than in high canyons as their range is primarily line of sight. CBs are worthless in canyons. Hams are far better and more versatile for all situations.

Dash Cam Hardware / Software Demo

Very nice setup, Brad! :sombrero: You'll have to find a different way of mounting the camera to increase your field of view and not show us so much of your cage bar. Also if you can get amount that puts the camera in such a position that you can rotate it, swivel, ball joint; it will allow you...

G'Day Brad, No it is not full at all cause I don't use PMs. When one initiates a PM, the forum sends out an email about it, then one has to log onto the forum and PM back which initiates another email. Don't see the point, why not just email back and forth, much easier, convenient and faster...

    Shower and toilet enclosure thread

Using a different coloured jerry can for shower allows for non potable water to be used without mixing them up. The Helton can be had at www.cruiseroutfitters.com (Kurt Williams - proprietor).

    Shower and toilet enclosure thread

Got that right Alan! I use my Helton hot water kit and my diesel engine running all day to heat up the water. Engine stays warm for quite awhile so time to set up camp, cook and then shower, clean dishes, etc,. with the water. My shower stall (Porta-Privy) sets up in 30 seconds and folds up in...

    Shower and toilet enclosure thread

Those are great mats especially the model # 891 (http://www.wearwell.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=81&file_id=147&lang=en&page=shop.getfile&product_id=41), however quite pricey and hard to find in small sizes like 2'x2' or so. I use the rubber floor mats from my truck as the floor...
