Dual band is a good thing. I think if one looked after any gear quite well (maintenance, storage, cleaning etc.) and likely any rig (domestic or import) they would all last much longer than we really needed or wanted them to last.

Thanks, you are absolutely right it is the mounting (using preexisting holes - visor mounting) that is difficult and getting the molding to fit nice in tight to the window side that is also an issue.

David, here is some photos of the build of the bumper and if you search through (go back one level to photos) the fuel tank (Idaho Falls, ID) is there as well as other generation of rear bumpers (Tucson). Lucky you to go to OZ, I am still in the planning phase for the future.
