Standard bedding or sleeping bags in RTT

I vote for flannel sheets and a down comforter. http://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/52933-Sure-Fire-Ways-to-Improve-Your-Roof-Top-Tent?p=2350144#post2350144 Been using this setup since 2008 when I got my tent, and it is just like sleeping at home. Recently put on the mattress pad, have...

    Kitchen Kit/Chuck Box

After we got back from vacation up at Mount Rainier National Park the second week of August, I began the hunt for a smaller/lighter chuckbox. I did not rally care for the other wooden offerings on the market, and I was going to pull the expensive trigger on the Kanz Kitchen, but he is pretty...

    100W Portable kit on ebay

I am not familiar with that 120 one, but all I know is I was very happy with the results of my Renogy 100 watt suitcase one keeping the new Yellowtop going great. It was close to 90 degrees up at Rainier where we went for four days, and the National Luna Weekender 50 Twin was running quite a...

    Odyssey vs. Diehard Platinum

I really like the new Odyssey I got a month back. Yes, I need a cleanup on aisle seven :D Looking at a kit from offgrid4x4 to fix that mess on it. https://www.offgrid4x4.com/collections/other-power-products/products/blue-sea-st-blade-six-circuit-fuse-box?variant=34818086662

    Kitchen Kit/Chuck Box

I bought this Friday, it should ship Thursday or Friday of this week. They are customizing it for me by adding two cables like my wood chuckbox has. This way the door will not flop down, and can be held horizontally to use it for a food prep surface with my cutting board...

Sure-Fire Ways to Improve Your Roof Top Tent

Worked on the tent 8-19-2017 I had posted this in the "What did you do to your overland vehicle today" thread, putting it here too from a suggestion by Lucky. On our vacation yesterweek to Mount Rainier National Park I chanted out the stock light bulb in the tents 12v housing for an LED one. I...

    Foldable panel experience?

I had just the opposite experience last week on a four day trip to Mount Rainier with my Renogy 100 watt suitcase. I had full sun from 8 am until around 4:30 to 5 PM, and I hardly had to move the panel at all expect to pick it up and re-aim it at the sun, but I never had to carry it anywhere...

    Lets See Your Solar Setups

Mount Rainier last week for four sun drenched days. My aux. Yellowtop and National Luna fridge that served up ice cream bars in the high 80 temps was thriving very well. Renogy 100 watt suitcase with on-board charge controller.

    campsite pics..lets see um

Thanks, it is, but I am cutting back fro next trip. Sone things we did not even use. Yes it is, and the one next to me was one of those 20" tall ones shaped like a washer drum. I think they are replacing some of the older ones like we had. Just like the bear lockers, those are new this year...

    Camping Gear Reviews, A Ton

New Camping Gear For 2017 I tried copying my latest review to here, but it is to many words and pics, so I am just going to link you to a web page I made yesterday, much easier than breaking down the thread into several postings. It posted fine to YotaTech, no picture/text limit over there...

    Kitchen Kit/Chuck Box

OK, here are some updated ones of the BEAST from this weeks camping trip. She tips the scales at nearly 100 lbs, a little too hefty for this 60 year old man :D A lot of that weight comes from the 10 piece Magma nesting cookset too, being made from Apple Wood, but the box was made from a...

    Kitchen Kit/Chuck Box

Very nice, let us know when you make them, as mine is heavy, around the 80 to 100 lb mark I think. Going to post pics from it in a minute from this weeks four day trip. Also looking at a Kanz, those are $750, but much lighter and a tad smaller than mine.
