Freeze dried hash browns - who else likes them?

OK, made me a believer you did in freeze dried hash browns. My Hungry Jack ones came the other day, just made some for lunch along with some Morningstar Maple flavored sausage patties, and a three brown egg omelette. I know these will not keep in the carton for long, so after lunch I fired the...

Tembo Tusk Scottle Recipes, Tips and Tricks

I dig my Skottle, obviously :D I use it every Saturday evening for dinner, and just got done making lunch on it. Tried out some Hungry Jack freeze dried hash browns for the first time (after seeing a thread about them in the Overland Chef section) and they turned out great. Used some leftover...

Corey's 2007 FJ Cruiser built for expedtion/overland, & daily driver

Switawi, got some heavy duty 30 gallon bags today. Not sure if they will stand up to a bundle of firewood poking at the bottom of it, but it should protect the inside of the Trasheroo.

    Off Clip On (Mosquito repellent)

I have four long sleeve shirts from Railriders (my favorite outdoor clothing brand) with the Permethrin made into it, but have not taken them camping yet. I do have a few of them in my dufflebag to test out soon on vacation...

    Trasharoo, first impressions....

Got mine installed today, the link contains more info. I bypassed the spare tire altogether. http://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/18563-Corey-s-2007-FJ-Cruiser-built-for-expedtion-overland-amp-daily-driver?p=2335878#post2335878

Corey's 2007 FJ Cruiser built for expedtion/overland, & daily driver

Trasheroo Installed 7-22-2017 Bought this years ago, but never got around to putting it on. I have trued unsuccessfully for the past few weekends with no luck. I know they say on the FJ Cruiser to cross the straps at the top of the tire, but I could not get it to work. Plus I have two sets of...

Time for a new battery, suggestions?

While not cheap, I am getting an Odyssey 34-1500 put in next Friday as the starting battery. it is dual purpose as both a starting battery, and deep cycle. Odyssey makes great batteries.

    Foldable panel experience?

I think if charging a battery that is going to run a fridge, I would want more wattage like I have with the Renogy. You can get bigger foldables now too, but I have not kept up on them, but they sure save space. On my upcoming trip I hope to be running all three of my panels. The Renogy for the...

    Trasharoo, first impressions....

No problem. I am hoping to bypass the spare tire altogether this weekend, and just run the straps through the Maxtrax. Looks great. I see you have a swingout too for the spare tire, makes it so much easier. There is hardly any room on the FJ between the tire and the mount on the door. I am...

    Trasharoo, first impressions....

I would never attempt to put Maxtrax into a Trasheroo, but there are specific bags for them that mount to the spare tire. There are tons of pics out there with Maxtrax mounted to the spare tire like mine with Maxtrax's spare tire mount, and with a Trasheroo mounted to the tire with the Maxtrax...

    Foldable panel experience?

Go with the Renogy like Winterpeg. I have one for my aux. battery that powers my fridge, and it works great. In the full sun the battery reads 14.5v when it is charging.

    Trasharoo, first impressions....

Rich, a woman I follow over on Instagram said she opens her back window and gets inside of here FJ to grab and buckle the straps. I have the ladder back there, so prevents my window from opening all the way. If my new way works, I will post it up.

    Trasharoo, first impressions....

I cannot even get mine on my FJ Cruiser with two sets of Maxtrax on my spare tire. It is very tight back there, and not enough room. Even if the Maxtrax were not on the spare tire, it is very tight. If I had a swingout it would be a lot easier from what I have read. I already switched the...

Nice way to spam the thread with your company. Nothing wrong with Alu-Box, Zarges, and the rest of the aluminum boxes, people have been using them for years with great results.

I am buying some stuff right now from Railriders (my favorite pants/shorts place) and I have seen this before, pretty cool. https://www.railriders.com/travel-spice-box-p-1050.html?cPath=104_143
