Trailer Security and the TrailerWatch 2?

I ended up going with a hardcover from Diamondback. I didn't want a hard cover originally because I wanted to retain the versatility of a utility trailer, but I had the same concerns leaving the trailer "basecamp" alone while we were out exploring, etc. The Diamondback can support 400lbs on...

Dstock's M101A1 build... or the reality, I needed a new project!

Just thought I would give a small update. Not much added since my last post except led strip lights on the underside of the Diamondback cover to see in the bed since it blocks the ones on the rack (sorry no pics at the moment), otherwise everything else is as it was before, although by no means...

Dstock's M101A1 build... or the reality, I needed a new project!

Very clean install Mark, but no way I could give up that much room in the bed, it would seriously affect our ability to glamp!!! :sombrero:

    Odyssey Battery OMAX-25A-1B Ultimizer Charger

SOLD!! I have an Odyssey 25amp battery charger I no longer need as I have gone a different route with my batteries and it's more charger then I need. If you need to charge/maintain your Odyssey/Diehard Platinum batteries this will do the trick for most of the sizes, double check the Odyssey...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Replaced my leaky AEV Bilsteins with Rancho 9000XLs. Nice ride, firm even on the lowest setting, but not harsh. Still handles great on road.

ARB fridge not working on 12VDC?

The ARB Fridge power kit is worth it in my opinion, my fridge seems much more efficient in terms of battery draw since I installed it.

    JKU Tire Opinions?

According to Tirerack.com Duratrac 32.8 which when I measured to recalibrate speedometer is pretty much what I came up with as well on an 8.5 inch wide rim.

    JKU Tire Opinions?

My Jeep is an auto and is on the heavy side, check sig, winch bumpers, dual batts etc. I run about 37psi on pavement. I get much better mileage out of them on my 2013 then I did on my similarly 2010. I attribute this to the 3.8 having to work much harder then the 3.6 does as I would really...

    JKU Tire Opinions?

I've heard about the sidewall issues but never had the issue myself despite multiple trips to Death Valley and other unforgiving places. I've got roughly 56K on mine but they have worn very evenly. I could probably get another 5K out of them but I don't tend to wear them all the way down...

Anyone use this solar power kit?

I did the same upgrade on my ebay suitcase panels, huge difference, really like the Morningstar SunSaver 10 and it accepts 10 gauge wire and has ring terminals, 2 must have's in my book.

    JKU Tire Opinions?

Ahh! Thanks for the info regarding the rating, for sure on the full psi on any of these AT tires would knock some fillings loose!

    JKU Tire Opinions?

Been reading reviews on TireRack.com and overall seem good but a couple still mention tire spin in wet weather. I also noticed the 285/70-17 in the Duratrac is "D" rated and the same size in KO2 is "E" rated, I wonder if that would contribute to a harsher ride? I'm about due for tires and was...

    JKU Tire Opinions?

Couldn't disagree more regarding the Duratracs, it's extremely well mannered on pavement and frankly kicks the crap out of the BFG KO in wet and snow. I switched away from the BFG KO precisely because of the wet and snow handling, otherwise it was a wash between the two in terms of dry and off...

Sears and the Diehard Platinum warranty replacement question

For the record, I have no intention of putting any Diehard back in my Jeep. My starting battery is an Optima yellow top which is working way better then the Platinum ever did and I will be adding a second to replace the aux Platinum that just died. I am shooting for a gift card from Sears...

Sears and the Diehard Platinum warranty replacement question

My second Diehard Platinum is dead, lasted 8 months longer than the other one which died at the beginning of this year. These batteries have been discontinued and I was able to get a refund on a Sears gift card for the first one because they had no equivalent options. I see on the website they...
