Here are the latest photos of my '04. I just finished installing the winch. I like the clean look of it in the ARB bumper, but it sure made installation a chore.
Since I had to relocate the control box, I decided to disassemble it and mounted the solenoid unit behind the grill and the plug...
We use 2 Coleman rectangular bags (the ones that have cotton flannel type lining) zipped together to make one big bag, which stays in the tent. If it is cold, we bring an extra bag of the same type which is unzipped to make a big comforter. Have not found conditions too cold for this setup...
Thanks Tim!
This is the Rattlesnake Canyon area at the northeast end of the Galiuro Mountains. Access to this particular area is via Rattlesnake Rd., from Aravaipa Rd. near Klondyke, and requires signing in and out and carrying a "Ranch Pass" in the vehicle. This is because you are crossing a...
A Phew Photos
Just back from a trip to the Galiuros. Here are some pics of the rig and trailer.

I gave them the coordinates, I sent them a pic from my cell phone, heck I even drew the route on a topo map and emailed it to them. I don't think they are all that tech savy. I'm sure I could have refused to go back out there, but they sent a lone female deputy out there, and she might have...
Both times, it was in 37A south of I-10. And those who watch the news probably heard about the four bodies recently found near Gila Bend. With a possible big increase in border security looming, and summer just getting started, I'm afraid this may be another bad year.
Legally and morally, yes. I report them to the county sheriff's office. Unfortunately, they always want me to show them where, which means I have to drive back out there again. There is no cell signal out there.
I was out scouting for a deer hunt, and calling coyotes, and happened upon this:
This was not the first set of skeletal remains I have come across in this area. It is a popular travel corridor for illegal border crossers, and is about 60 miles from the border. That's a lot of desert to...
I have always wondered about rebate programs that require sending in the original receipt. How does a person go about getting warranty service after that? I need a winch, but not sure I want to give up the receipt. Is a copy of the receipt acceptable for warranty purposes?
The holders are from Expedition Exchange. The way I mounted them is not the most elegant, but they are rock solid, I can grab the can and shake the whole truck and the can doesn't move in the holder. I used some steel plate (3/16 I think) cut a little longer than the holder, and sandwiched the...
As a long-time Admin on a hunting forum, and the proud owner of multiple firearms including one of those pernicious "black rifles" and an FN 5.7 "cop killer" (as used by the Ft. Hood shooter), I say to the owners and staff of this site:
Bravo! Congratulations for taking your jobs seriously and...
