That's great! I'm really lucky she took to hunting without any pressure from me, and we get to spend that quality time outdoors.
And yes, 5BS is an excellent place to hunt elk.
My daughter had a tag for the early antlerless hunt in AZ unit 5B South. She filled her tag Saturday morning:
It was a 30 yd shot, and the cow fell 20 yds or so from us. We were almost run down by one of the other fleeing cows, what a rush!
Well, my benchmade got a workout on Saturday, when my daughter tagged out on her cow elk hunt. Got through the whole job without having to touch up the edge, which is a first.
Here is my latest knife purchase, a Benchmade 10502. I really like this knife, I took my Lansky to it and it is crazy sharp. I'm carrying this in my hunting pack, looking forward to field dressing an elk with it this fall.
Combination of the tongue jack (if the trailer is unhitched from the truck), wheel chocks, and a Wayne's stabilizer under the rear bumber. Low tech, just the way I like it...
