The photo is not very good, but my daughter and I got into a bit of snow over the weekend on her deer hunt off the 288 south of Young:
It was a bit creepy how the snow deformed the smaller trees:

Here is the 288 Saturday morning before the graders...
My neighbor and I both got bucks on this same hunt two years ago. We have been meaning to get both mounts on the wall side by side, and just got around to it on Sunday.
Yes indeed, although we did not see any on this trip. I think the hunts that have occurred over the previous weeks have pushed them deeper into the roadless areas. But we saw lots of mule deer, some whitetails, turkeys, and quite a few bear tracks.
This area is about as remote as you can get...
The bed rack is from All Pro Offroad, and the cargo basket is a Yakima Megawarrior. For mounting the basket to the rack, I used the upper pieces of the mounting hardware that came with the basket, and just drilled and tapped holes in the bed rack tubing and used hex cap screws. It came out...
So what did that entail? I have two 255/85r16 spares. One is in the cargo basket on my bed rack. Not sure what to do with the other. If I can get it into the stock location, that would be great.
BTW, I have two spares because my trailer uses the same size tires/rims. Not to mention the...
I don't care about cool factor. The one and only reason for me is the sharing of spares. Two spares that can be used by either the truck or trailer. I have been in a vehicle that had two flats at once, and only one spare. Not fun. And I do not want to carry 3 or 4 spares.
This is the hunting section, right? :)
I usually leave them alone, but have always wanted to try the meat. It was bit rubbery when deep fried. I won't need to try another one...
I have an '04 DC. I went with the full OME suspension with 882's, and am running 255/85R16 KM2's. I love it. But I will add that I did decide to regear. I was planning to go from stock 4.10 to 4.56, but the owner of the shop that did the gears talked me into 4.88, and I am glad he did. I am...
When I camp for more than a couple days, I take the Yeti and the cheaper cooler. I keep extra ice and the frozen food in the Yeti with enough dry ice to keep it all frozen. I keep the drinks and other food that needs to stay cold (but not frozen) in the regular cooler, and replenish the ice in...
Well I don't know...he drives a Subaru Impreza Wagon and lives in "Love-land". He's obviously one of those liberal gun-haters!
Kidding...a Subaru Impreza sedan is my commuter car.
My Five-seveN lives in a Blackhawk Serpa. My long guns ride in hard cases in the back seat/floorboard area.
Fortunately, that was the last day of the hunt. We started packing up camp shortly after the pic was taken. We saw elk every day, but the tag holder sadly had no good shot opportunities at a bull. But my daughter got a big cow elk in October, so at least we're good for meat.
Sorry, no...
