All of the above will work just fine. One thing to think about...I've seldom needed larger than a 31" tire for travel purposes. 33s maybe. Outside of major European or North American countries, it's going to be difficult to find 35" spares. Other things to think about such as sleeping...

I use a set of BMW winter gauntlets. The work great, especially on the highway. In combination with heated grips I've never had any issues, even riding at 4 degrees F. -H-

I wasn't aware any were available...but it would likely be akin to putting a "cold air kit" on a tractor. The 3FE is a fantastic engine; just not a performance one unless you count simple and bulletproof as "performance." -H-

I've run Yakima A towers, or other gutter mounts, on my 40s, 45 Troopy, 60 and 80 series rigs without issues. Max roof load, distributed over 6 mounts, was about 400-425 lbs., which included a RTT (Hannibal), awning, 2 kayaks (140lbs.) and 10 gallons of fuel. Not ideal, but didn't affect the...

Depends upon where you live, as smog regs differ. It would almost be easier to just buy and ship the motor, etc. to a place like Proffits and let them do the conversion stateside.... -H-

I wouldn't think they'd need to be replaced, absent extreme usage, e.g. overloading, for many years.... Some degree of settling is expected, thought, and 1/4" or so I think would be acceptable. 3/4" seems a bit much. -H-
