    Project MTN SAR: 2001 UZJ100

The 100 is back from SEMA! Let's start with the African Outback Products awning. When Adolf, the owner of African Outback Products, showed it to me the first time, all I could say was, "wow!" I've used other awnings, including Hannibal and ARB, but I have to say this one takes all the good...

    Trying to get used to,

On my 10 day + trips I'm always sore for the first 2-3 days, as my hand gets used to holding/using the throttle for 6-8 hrs/day and getting my "bike legs". It's common for your back, shoulders and arms to be tired and sore, but it always goes away (at least for me) about day 3.... Your results...

    Trying to get used to,

When you first start riding longer, you will be sore. It takes time to get the muscles used to position, etc. After a few days it goes away. The best thing I did to improve my long distance riding was change from a Honda XR650L to a BMW 1150.....:) -H-

It's actually a good point to make. I've never been one to just follow the trend of merely bolting on everything that would make a rig simply look the part. Rather, I'm hoping to focus on some simple additions which will address the traveling I intend to do, while providing for the loads...

Scott was kind enough to shoot a couple of photos at the SEMA booth, as I'm in the office this week, and not drooling all over the fun stuff! Just in case you missed 'em, check out all the great photos of SEMA in the Fireside Chat section of Expo! Looks like African Outback Products has added...

Had a bit of a road trip this weekend...takin' the 100 out to SEMA. :coffeedrink: First long road trip, and I noticed a distinct difference between the 70 and the 100...when I arrived in Vegas I wasn't beat, sweaty and windblown! The factory navigation, even with a 10 year old map disk, was...

    Car Alarm Reccomendations

Unless it's an OEM system, I'm not a fan of any alarm system. Ultimately, the aftermarket stuff just ends up causing problems in my experience. I find it much more useful to put a starter/fuel pump/injection pump kill switch somewhere on the vehicle. If you absolutely have to have a blinking...
