Never had any issues with my centrifugal pre-cleaner at highway speeds...but it was in an FJ80, so speeds were about 70mph and under.... -H-

I have run all three types and had no problems with any of them. For the OEM 70 series you might give Michael at www.westcoastcruisers.com a shout. He carries the OEM snorkles for the 70 and may be able to get a head unit separately. -H-

I've been down several times in baja with my 2m radio on the truck, with no problems. That being said, an ht may be a better choice, as it's not as noticeable. -H-

I use the fingers off of nitrile gloves to cover my air couplers. Tough, cheap and easy to source.
