Amazon :D ?
You are welcome.
At some point down the road I will pull the surround that covers the stereo and HVAC controls, and see how the big screws are holding to see if it is necessary to use bolts for the mount.
But right now it is rock solid.
Going to put Gaia on the tablet this weekend...
Thanks guy's, there did seem to be lots of hype about Hema.
I am going to be going with Gaia this weekend on my phone and new tablet.
Seems Hema is not quite done yet, and maybe should not have been released until completely done.
I got a notice this morning there was a new "Oh Hey There" episode about food storage, but when I got to work to check it out, the video was gone.
Maybe they are reediting it, not sure.
If it comes up again, I will post it here.
New to this thread as I had recently bought Back Country Navigator for my Android HTC One phone, and also my new NVIDIA Shield 8" tablet (Wi-Fi) only.
I take it with both the Hema North America and the Gaia apps you have to download areas outside of your current coverage when you fire up the...
I watched that yesterday, so nice.
I would buy one if they offered them here.
You can tell he was excited too about the hood, or bonnet as they call them there.
Looks like he will see if he can put one of them onto his rig.
RAM Mount Finally Installed Properly 11-6-201R
Finally a dry morning!
I followed Zero's installation of his tablet and RAM arm/ball mount from fjcruiserforums website, and put the ball backing plate in the same position as he did.
This allows the tablet mount to be folded up flat against the...
The airbag is actually up above the dash on the right side, but it is not activated unless there is a passenger in the seat.
On the FJ Cruiser there is a red light on the dash that says airbag activated, and buckle up.
If I am driving with a passenger, more than likely I would have them hold the...
This is how my finished project will look when it is done.
The tablet and RAM arm will be mounted lower than my Yaesu faceplate though.
I borrowed this picture from Zero, a member over on fjcruiserforums site where there is a mounting discussion in my build thread.
When not using the tablet, I...
Nice!
Taking a short break from mine as mother nature has not offered any rain free weekends for me to work on it.
But I am going to be drilling into the side of the dash and mounting my RAM arm to the side of my Yaesu faceplate.
A guy on fjcruiserforums.com did his that way, and it turned out...
Expedition Overland Tacoma Build: Remote Communication & Mapping
I have been getting use to using Back Country Navigator since I picked up the paid version a few weeks back.

Thanks, I think the 21s do balance well on there.
Yes, I like having the spot in front of me to shine out in a narrower beam, and then the flood on the right side actually lights up both sides.
These were a very high dollar decision to make, but I am glad I went with them.
The same shop did the...
Yes they are, and I think I could have gone with the bigger one on my bumper.
The shop I deal with he had the 21s on two of his JKs, and he thought this would be best choice.
But I am happy with the 21s, as I have used them on a few pitch black roads coming into work, and they light up...
I had forgotten I had posted in this thread back in June.
I did up end up getting the ARB Intensity LEDs.
Lotta bucks, but they are very nice.
Left one is a spot, the right one is a flood.
New video, and I see a few FJ Cruisers, 60 and 70 series Land Cruisers, and a lot of nice rigs.
I think it would be awesome to be part of that event.
Biggest Off-road Convoy, Lancelin
Thanks!
I do not think I would want anything bigger than an 8" tablet too.
I just got back in from trying the floor mount, too much of an angle with the bracket they give you.
I am going to try the suction mount again, maybe on the window in the far left corner and see if it holds strong...
