Brabus Turns Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² (4x4 Squared) Into Adventure Seeking Behemoth

At least, Brabus added a spare tire. +1 for them.

G550 4x4^2 arrived at the dealer recently

This one does not even have a spare tire, while the Mercedes Maybach G650 does. I guess that''s one of the differences between a US$500k vehicle and one for only US$200k. :victory:

Sounds like a jealous wannabe non-owner.

    Vibration over 60mph / K02's anyone?

Agreed 100%. As an aside, my tire dealer said that they had the lowest road force he has ever seen on any tire be it street or off-road. The only negative would be that they can develop a flat spot when parked for days or weeks at a time (as is my G500); and it takes driving a few miles before...

    Rhino Rack

Why so many legs? I had a total of six under my RTT which easily supported 550-600 lbs when my wife and I were in it; and that's about the limit for the G's gutters anyway.

    230GE in UT...any advice?

What an entertaining pi$$ing match this has turned out to be. I have owned, driven, serviced and repaired G's continuously since 1984; so I should have a bit of credence when it comes to a G. I don't think that a new G320, even from Europa Int'l, ever sold for US$136,000 in the US. The 1999...

    1999 G500 Pur edition

Doubtful, as he is a buy American first kind of guy; and is talking about a 35% tariff on some foreign made products.

    1999 G500 Pur edition

Eric, How were you able to bring in the G320? Since it's less than 25 yrs old, did you have to Federalize it? DUTCH

Kamper Build Aussie Style - Romers new Kimberley Karavan

Out of warranty. If it's the batteries, Chinese made batteries that fit the battery box are not available in the US. That will require 9 X 25 lbs = 225 lbs of shipping to get them from Australia to the US. If it's the charger, replacement will be extremely difficult due to where it's mounted.

Kamper Build Aussie Style - Romers new Kimberley Karavan

After MANY hours of work, I did get the lift cable repaired. However, another major issue with the batteries or the charger has come up that prevented me from using it on a planned trip this Fall. It has been one issue after another. Not one night of use this year. *:-((

Kamper Build Aussie Style - Romers new Kimberley Karavan

My Karavan has the so-called winterized option (tank heater and insulated water lines). However, when I close it up for the winter, I drain all water from the tanks and water lines; and replace it with RV antifreeze.

    Registering a Mastodon 4x4 G-Wagon in California

If Mastodon is a good seller, they should be able to answer your questions on this subject. Also, check on some of the specialized G-Class forums, like Pointedthree.com. Do a search; and if you can't find a good answer, ask your question there.

    Buying a 04 G 500 w/ 150k Miles

There are a couple of official MBUSA dealers who discount 25-28% off of MBUSA MSRP. Too many dealer parts counters use "Matrix Pricing", which is MBUSA MSRP ++ $$$. Not very nice, but is approved by MBUSA. An easy question is to ask the parts counter manager if they use Matrix Pricing. If...
