There is one for sale on P3, but the seller says he has a deposit and two others in line behind the depositer. Need to watch the For Sale Forums on the regular G-Class forums.
Nice job.
This forum is becoming less and less about expeditions G's, and more about plain old every day modifications and repairs to the G. I guess the long established G-Class Forums no longer fulfill that role.
Interesting. EPC shows a different P/N for the large main muffler on my 2000 G500; and my go to source for parts shows that it's available. Not cheap (US$664), but available.
Also the cooking smell remains inside, which I do not like. My Kimberley Karavan has a diesel ceramic cooktop, sink and ample counter top inside
and a propane stove, sink and counter top outside.
The one on the outside gets used a whole heckuva lot more than the one on the inside.
DUTCH
The RL150S13 legs give just enough roof clearance for cross bars, but not enough to clamp anything around the cross bars. Been there and done that.
There's a fellow on P3 (Username = Thairish) who has successfully mounted one of the RR platforms on his G. Head over there and give him a hail.
It's because MBUSA does not want to import it. One of the main reasons is that MBUSA prefers to sell high profit margin models. The other argument they're currently using is the effect that the VW diesel fiasco has had on the German diesel reputation in the US.
Did you get contact info for the owner? I still think it would be fun to have a North America Kimberley Gathering some time. That is, if I can ever get my karavan repaired so I can use it.
