Great pictures. A good reminder of why I feel so fortunate to live here in the Okanagan Valley. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

    Tundra or Tacoma?

Buy a Tundra. Oh lord, the power. I just changed from an Xterra to a 2014 Double Cab Tundra TRD Off-Road and this truck is amazing. Ok, so there may be some tight switchbacks that I may not be able to negotiate, as I did in the Xterra, but by every other measure (and I'll argue that the Xterra...

07 Off The Leash Adventure Xterra

Mileage isn't great towing the trailer, I take it slow and don't worry too much about it. I actually just re-geared to 3.73 to help with towing. When I'm towing the travel trailer I'm in camping mode and try not to worry too much about mileage, it is what it is. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using...

USA-CAN-USA, July 2017 (16 US states and 4 Canadian provinces)

Wow, what a trip. If it were me, I would hang a right off I-5 at Sedro-Wooley and take the amazing North Cascades Hwy (Hwy 20) over the mountains and into the Okanagan Valley. Then take Hwy 155 to the Grand Coulee Dam (it is spectacular) and from there you can continue south back towards I-84...

"Lola" - WreckDiver1321's 2005 Frontier CC/SB Nismo Build and Adventure Thread

I've been running 40psi on the street, and while it feels like it rolls easier it is a bit of a harsh ride. I may also experiment with lowering my on road psi just to see how it effects mileage. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

    Frontier owners with dual batteries

I reused the stick bracket, and dabbed up another little bracket and found a few places to bolt it in. Sent from the Mountains

Questions about Rooftop tent on Xterra

With the cross bars removed from the stock roof rack their is ample space left between a rooftop tent and the Xterra roof for storage. I keep a roll up aluminum table and my ladder stored in that space.

Congratulations. That is really a cool accomplishment. Do you get to choose a call sign, 'cause if you could get "Maverick" that would be the bomb. Sent from the Mountains

    Alpine Loop, CO

We did the Alpine Loop last July. We took the Mineral Creek trail up from Ouray then up and over Engineer Pass. My friend towed his trailer behind his FJ without any real issues. He navigated all the switchbacks, we just took our time and we're careful and it was totally do-able. We camped out...

8k-9.5k winch best bang 4 buck???

Another happy Superwinch Tigershark owner here. I have the TS9500 synthetic line winch and it's done it's job when asked.

    ARB 50qt or Dometic 50qt?

I have the Dometic CF50, and it has been fantastic. If it got up and walked away tomorrow I'd buy another. We used it on a 2 week 6000km road trip last summer and I honestly can't think of one bad thing to say about it. It was either running off the vehicle power or shore power for the 2 week...

Questions about Rooftop tent on Xterra

Yes, I also attached my rooftop tent to the lengthways main roof rack tubes. I removed the clamp down cross members completely. With most rooftop tents you can orient that aluminum attachment channels either way. I did not use the CVT flat bar "clamps" that came with the tent, but purchased...

Neat idea. My shovel is jammed under the rooftop tent right now, and bunjeed to the roof rails. I sure like that setup though. Sent from the Mountains

    Josh's 2014 Xterra Pro 4x - guided by necessity

I love my KO2's, they've performed great everywhere so far. Question about your snorkel; yours seems to have a more rectangular inlet than others on X's I've seen that have larger oval inlets. Did you order that inlet separately or with the snorkel? Sent from the Mountains

CVT Mt. Shasta (with bedding and memory foam topper inside), along with 2 full MFC fuel cans, 1 full MWC water can, a tote packed full of recovery gear, a Hi-Lift, and a homemade-fabbed up front roof cage all attached to the stock roof rack with no issues ta all. Fully tested, among other...

07 Off The Leash Adventure Xterra

I don't think they are in business anymore. I found the contact via a fellow Xterra owner from Vancouver. When I called I spoke to a very friendly gal who wa quite helpful. She did say that I was buying her last suspension package. In hindsight the price seemed to reflect a final sale. All I can...

Talk to Steve at Rugged Rocks to help realize your vision. I blew my rear E-Locker and while I decided to stick with replacing it with another E-Locker, I did purchase it from him, along with a set of 3.73 gears for my M226 in the rear and my newly acquired M205 that is going in the front. 07 Off The Leash Adventure Xterra

Upon leaving Deadwood, and on recommendation from good friends, we searched out the Spearfish Canyon Highway. Sure it was paved, but it did not let us down. The road carved, weaved, and bobbed through he canyon following the river like a twin. Well worth the slight detour. From there, we...

07 Off The Leash Adventure Xterra

So, after waking up the next morning in America's largest KOA campground (and a sight to behold it is), we headed towards our next tourista stop of our adventure, Deadwood SD. Now, I'm a self admitted fan and junkie of all things related to old railroads, mining history, and ghost towns....so I...
