Somebody has obviously done an engine conversion or stolen the VIN. Attached is the Vehicle Data Card for that VIN. It was a 280GE (6 cylinder gasoline) model that was first delivered on 6 November 1981.

On the older W460 G's, the lockers are mechanical hydraulic. On the newer W463 G's the lockers are electric->vacuum->hydraulic.

The Air Top is long because the lift mechanism is not in the ends. I'm 6'4" and it's plenty long for me. It's 83" long on the outside, which is about 82" (6'10") on the inside. See the AutoHome USA link in my original message to see all the dimensions.

MSR says it is a backpacking tent. To me, it's on the upper weight limit for backpacking, but doable. I'm in Duluth, Gwinnett County.

I did that one time on a below freezing night, but never again. Every time the other person moves, it draws cold air down your neck. Separate bags with a comforter over the top, if you need the extra warmth!
