My lid is made of steel and weighed 175 pounds, plus we added the roof rack on top of that. But with the right shocks it's no big deal.

No we removed the handbrake and replaced the axle with a 3500 pound axle. I have chalk blocks for it now or I can just use a log or rock if I'm in a bind and I need it.

The only thing left to do on the trailer is to paint the top (same color as the trailer), add the hardware to the top, move the tongue box forward and make the basket for the water / fuel cans that will go between the tongue box and the bed. My brother has completed most if not all of these...
