Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Brett I have a question. Mine will not be used for camping until next spring, so for now it is plugged into 110V full time standing by for power outages here. I have the LED screen on and with the replacement one I received it is always showing 13.1V or 13.2V and in float cycle. Is it OK to shut...

    100W Portable kit on ebay

That looks like a pretty nice one, and probably more sturdy than the plastic one I posted from Amazon, and also cheaper.

cold weather is descending upon us! Is there anything your changing?

I put 24 bottles of water in my ARB fridge, and also carry a duffelbag full of extra clothes in case I get stuck at work in a snow storm. Food too on my rear door along with a small butane/propane stove.

    Watches - ExPo Style

Been getting a lot of compliments on my new ISObrite watch at work, especially when we go into a dark room and they can see how bright it is. One guy has a Luminox like my old one, and of course mine is 4X as bright as his.

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Yes, so am I. It is in float cycle now, 100% charged, and 13.2V. Hopefully their engineers can take a look at my first unit and diagnose it and see what was happening with it. Have fun at the expo.

The White River campground is at the North part of of the national park. Ipsut Creek is at the North Western side. Ipsut has I think 30 sites, White River has a little over 100 sites. I liked the rustic setting of Ipsut Creek, but there was not much to see unless you hiked the trail up to the...

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

This is great. 14.3V, 90% charged, and 4 hours to go. I am kind of tickled to see this, as the most I ever saw the battery before on the other ArkPak get up to was around 12.7V.

13.3V, 76% charged, 6.5 hours to full systems go! Hoorayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :D I received a brand new ArkPak today, and already boxed up the first one and it will be on its way back to Chicago come Monday. Got home today and pulled the battery out of the first ArkPak and put it into the new one...

Yes, I have old pics not scanned of deer walking by us as we sat in our camping chairs. Now I hit the White River campground at Rainier.

Last I heard the road driving into the campground was shut, and you had to hike a few miles in just to get to the car campground. That was several years ago though, as I have not been on that road since maybe '93 or so.

Nice, I have camped many a time at Ipsut Creek in the past. Also backpacked to the glacier and spent many a night at the backcountry camps. Too bad that road got washed out years ago.

    Goal Zero Light-A-Life storage

Yeah, I have a total of nine now, just bought four more. But I am giving one to each of my sons to keep in their vehicle, and I will carry one in my rig all the time. That will still leave six for camp. Some on the awning, one in the crapper/shower tent, then the rest around camp :D

    Goal Zero Light-A-Life storage

I have nine of them now, but my solution was not cheap, I bought another ECS case smaller than the ECS footlocker I use for my main camping gear. I no longer use the Goal Zero Ranger 350 that is inside of the case, will be using the new ArkPak I bought recently. But the case is big enough to...

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Looked up other choices also on a folding 100 watt unit. Amazon has some, but the case is plastic, and looks like no carry bag. More $$$ than the Ebay one though. This one too has a built in charge controller...

    100W Portable kit on ebay

PS, I see another one there, but it is 80 watts, and from a different seller. Not sure if it is just one unit, or if he has more from an online store. How does this unit compare in quality...

    100W Portable kit on ebay

Very cool thread, it was linked from the ArkPak thread in post 165. I was going to get a Goal Zero 30 watt Boulder and tripod, but the reviews on them are not great. I already have a nice 60 watt foldable Powerfilm one I use with a charge controller under the hood of my FJ to keep the stock...

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Thanks, that was a great thread. The seller is gone until the 6th of this month, and the original ad is closed, but he has more listed in the original ad to link to. I may have to pull the trigger on getting one.

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Thanks Peak, I was wondering about some of the solar panels that have built in charge controllers. I do need something portable though. I paid about $900 I believe a few years back for my Powerfilm 60 watt foldable from Adventure Trailers. That was with a few cables/plugs too which I needed to...
