    Seat Covers

I can't wait to see how they fit. I was really pleased with the SOR tuff duck covers I got for the Troopy, though. -H-

    Burn wounds in the bush?

I hope that anyone trying the sugar treatment on burns is not medically trained, because it seems like a sure way to act outside the scope of training, (at any level), and get your butt sued off when a raging infection occurs. I would never use such a treatment on anyone; or myself for that...

I borrowed the ARRL technician's license book and studied for about an hour a day prior to taking my test, and did just fine. -H-

Cheap $$ bike capable of cross country expeditioning?

Some of the 70s enduros are 2 stroke...so just do some research. Any bike will do the trip. Just look at Lois Pryce's trips from Alaska to Ushuaia and London to Cape town on her Yamaha 225/250s. I'd look for a more modern dual sport, such as an NX250 or NX650 Honda, which can be found quite...

    Seat Covers

Did you have a set made for your 74? I was just going to pick up another set of Spector's covers, but would love to see some pics of the final product. I'm assuming you got the canvas covers? -H-

I'll do that. Much easier to get B20 from the pump than make it in the garage....but the garage is more fun, so I'll probably still make a batch or two now and then. Other than that, I finally got around to taking the carpet out and cleaning 20+ years of old coffee and french fries out of the...

    How capable is a 60 or 80?

Or just haven't driven a 70 series yet.... All cruisers will go where I want them to...comfort is the factor difference to me. My 45 Troopy was great...but uncomfortable compared to my 80, 60, or 70 series rigs. My 80 has to have been the most capable and most comfortable, as a...

    What Vehicle? Advice Needed

Early 2000s Ford Crew Cab short bed diesel w/cab/camper. You can find the rig for around $10-15K, then find a suitable camper, put the boats up top. Good economy, capacity, and capability without a ton of mods. -H-

In Flagstaff, B20 is about the most you can safely run year round. Summers, parking inside the garage at night, I can run 70%+-, but we're still getting down in the 40s some nights.... -H-
