I'll have to report back in a few weeks. I had 265/75R16s on my prior Tacoma with the 4.0 and I have a set of 255/85s sitting in the garage waiting to be put on. I'm curious to see the difference, if anything the 255s feel a few lbs lighter...
If I was local enough to help I would; alas, I am not. I have been and continue to be impressed by everything you are doing in house and would love to see pictures of the facility that makes that all possible.
I'm not sure if 2nd gen struts and 1st gen struts are the same but I have a pair of old ones from an 07 sitting around that I could throw your way. PM me if you are interested, I'm over in Westminster.
Per usual life gets in the way and you don't have enough time to accomplish what you hoped. I did however get the chance to spend Tuesday and Wednesday night installing the ARB bumper. The install was performed solo in my garage with only a basic set of hand tools. Here are my initial...
I had a set of 885 coils on the front of my 07' and kept the stock UCAs. It was aligned by Firestone and they got things as close to factory alignment as they could. It drove a bit twitchy, had a tendency to wander, and wasn't very grounded feeling. I wish I had had a chance to see how it drove...
Tuesday update:
Dropped by ToyTec last night and they dropped this big ole pallet in the back of my bed. Thanks for lending me the ratchet strap fellas!

Here's to hoping I can get it on the truck tonight. See how well it rides on stock suspension. ;)
Also, for any of you guys near Denver, does anyone know a good place to go get an alignment? I'm slightly concerned taking my truck to Firestone or something with the Light Racing UCAs. I'd rather someone with some experience with lifted rigs do the work.
Weekend update:
I didn't have too much of a chance to get some solid time on the truck as I was battling a plumbing issue in the house. A cracked shower spout insert in the upstairs shower did a good amount of damage to the downstairs bathroom and some to the sub-floor. Unfortunately that took...
Ah, so yesterday was very good to me. The parts fairy made a visit and dropped off a few things...

You may have noticed that there are only two tires in the picture. Why just two tires you ask? Apparently when...
Electrical System
Given that I'll be adding some additional accessories down the road that will require electrical power, I decided to add an additional breaker and fuse block up front to keep the wiring clean and tidy. With intentions of adding a second battery at some point down the road, I...
I've been thinking about that a bundle since the first time we slept in the back of my old Tacoma. It was a gigantic pain in the *** taking everything out of the bed and stashing it either in the cab or within the tarp tent enclosure I made to cover up the rear end.
I really enjoyed having the...
Got a link to show how/where you siped it?
To be perfectly honest, I don't drive in snow a ton. I chose the mud terrains more because the rather lengthy spring/early summer mud season here in CO.
The truck in stock form is rather unimpressive, from the short stature to the wallowy suspension. Even my GF got in and commented about how she liked it much better when it was lifted. The stock tires are abysmal and their pliability contributes to the unsteady feel of the truck. Rather than...
