    camera for slow shutter photography

Absolutley right, Michael. A Pentax K1000 and a true bulb release would be all he would need. And a lot of film and practice.

    Photo Organization Software

You can download a 30 day trial to try it out first without committing the funds right away. Then, instead of buying directly from Adobe, being responsible for making your own disk backup disk, and paying tax on the purchase, you can buy it from Amazon for less and get free shipping, no tax...

    My Wandering Soul

I hear you. The how is the easy part once you figure out the what. Figuring out what you want out of life is much harder. Once you get that down, it's just logistics after that. Trevor's advice is good too, once you've figured out the what. Again, that's the hard part. Keep asking the...

    Scotch Sundays. Bring it.

This is an excellent thread. For me? 1) The Macallan--12 yr. 2) Balvenie 21 yr PortWood. 3) SS Sigg flask. For something in between? Balvenie 15 yr is an excellent scotch for the price. Careful though, it can be a bit too smooth ;)

    Montero Shock Question

I just switched my OME Nitrochargers with the newer Nitrocharger Sport shocks and I really like them. Nice improvement. If they make a Nitrocharger Sport for the Gen II-2.5, I would recommend that.

    My Wandering Soul

Phil, if you end up selling the cruiser and therefore giving up your "home", I think you mentioned in this thread or the other one that is now gone, that you don't have a tent. I have a 3-man Kelty that you're welcome to if you need it. It's not super light for backpacking or anything, but I...

    My Wandering Soul

Phil, don't be embarrased about it. Like you said, you didn't ask anyone for the donations. You didn't have your hand out. When I donated, I did it because I wanted to and it didn't come with any strings attached. You go do what you need to do...that's what I thought this trip was about.

2005 Land Cruiser, highly modified, California

Did something go wrong with the factory lockers to warrant the ARB lockers to be installed? I prefer ARBs, but I was just curious about what happened to the factory lockers.

Ditto :) The GT mattress is actually quite comfortable compared to the one in my Overland. In the Overland, I had to use a thermarest.

    Snow Peak BBQ Box

That looks interesting, but I don't think I could do that to my $900 Gitzo/ $400 ball head. Did you mount a quick release plate to the base of the grill? ;)

WordPress for Managing a Portfolio Website?

Thanks again guys. I'm trying Photocrati. I bought the theme and am attempting to personalize it and get set up. This looks similar to what you pointed out Nathan. Thom, originally I was looking for a way to do changes at once, to modify off-site and then upload the changes. In order to...

WordPress for Managing a Portfolio Website?

Thom, One more question in case I didn't understand how you manage the site. Do you compose everything in a development environment on your desktop and then upload the finished version to your production/ host environment? Or, do you simply make changes to production and rely on the version...
