Majorly bummed, my "new" motor arrived. Its been dropped and damaged. The shipper didn't do a good job with crating and packaging it. The oil pan is all smashed in and I'm sure the pickup tube as well. Damn. I'm sure those parts are not too hard to get, but that's going to delay the install.

So Its about ready to come out. Just 5 transmission bolts to take it out.

The smoking issue was resolved with a non-egr intake and routing the CDR to the intake better. It rarely blows smoke now except on initial startup when its kind of cold. It usually goes away as soon as the temp gets up to about 150 degrees. It burns pretty clean. I had the injection pump...

I used fiberglass, then a layer of bondo for the imperfections and to smooth it out. Its a pretty thin layer of bondo. The whole thing is a lot stronger than the stock piece. It shouldn't break ever again.
