Is that washer upside down?
Put a locking pliers/ vice grips on the top of the shaft to hold it while you spin the nut with an open end wrench. The shaft may even have a hex socket in the end.
I replaced a slide mechanism on one last week. Typical failure prone schwintek that will leave you with a stuck slide.
It was nice to see they use some kind of non wood material on the slide floor though. That area is prone to rotting out.
I had them on a stock 2500 Chevy and they were great, never knew they were there.
So I put a set on my Ranger and they’re awful. It’s like riding on the bump stops if you’ve got more than 500lbs in the back.
They shouldn’t be sold for the smaller trucks, or they should come up with a softer...
I’m at max GVWR with my toolbox full of junk and bed full of camping supplies (500lb+)when towing my 3500lb trailer, with three people in the truck.
That’s a Ranger with 1500lbs+ payload. I could switch to a half ton but a lot of those don’t really have any better payload.
So do I step up to a...
Looks good, the color scheme is kinda what the new rpods look like. Black and brass/gold.
I’ve been a rv tech for a while and I’ve never seen a full refresh like this. I don’t think anyone wants to pay the 180/hr shop rate to get it done.
Are all those lights on the rear original? I haven’t...
I’ve been a rv tech for two years. The only trailers I see without brakes are very small pop up’s, and even then it’s really rare. I can only remember seeing a handful.
Is that with the diesel? I doubt OP is looking for a new diesel.
I do like the longer bed and 21 vs 18 gallon gas tank over the Ranger. It’d be a sweet truck if they use their 2.7 4 banger turbo in the next generation.
Or you could get a Ranger and go as fast as you want. Every new Ranger is rated for 7500 towing and ~1500 payload. Transmission cooler is standard equipment…
I’ve seen some of these class b’s where they mount the lithium batteries under the floor, open to the cold air(where they won’t charge). I’ve also seen some with no heating source.
Hopefully the Winnebago is made better.
If you’ve already got a couple power packs with the built in inverters then I would use a 120v kettle to heat your water.
You still wouldn’t have any way to boil water off of 12v but I’m not sure there’s a good solution there.
