Looking for better payload truck (getting rid of Ram Rebel)

What’s your payload now? What does the payload sticker in the door say? When you say payload for a 4 season camper are you talking about a travel trailer or truck mounted camper?

    Shrinking demand for RV Towables.

We had a trailer with an overall length of about 33’. I only had that one because I got a deal on it. We got that trailer into a lot of tight spots and I almost had a stroke many times, driving over curbs and hitting tree branches in state parks was the norm. Now we’re about 33’ combined truck...

    2017 F-150 build...Everyone meet Walter White

Do you have the big gas tank on your truck? I’m not seeing the big tank on the f150’s or the ram 1500s I’ve looked at.

Best full-size 4 season composite trailer?

Somewhat interesting observation. I did a 192 standard non “beast mode” suspension today. It had ~1100lbs payload vs 1500 for the beat mode.

Best full-size 4 season composite trailer?

I did a house call for a guy for his slide. He took a week off of work to take the fam on a vacation. Hadn’t even used his trailer yet and the thing was stuck in his driveway. Slide components jammed, unfixable. Had to wait for parts.

Best full-size 4 season composite trailer?

I’ve walked on the roof of every R pod that’s come through my bay and I’m 240lbs. They’re pretty solid, no pops and cracks like some of the cheap trailers. I still wouldn’t buy one with a slide, they all use the terrible schwintek slide. Unfortunately a lot of trailers use that slide, even the...

New Gen Tundra front recovery points

I was building xlt gas superduty and f150 and the payment was 900+ for 5-6 years. At work the big $100k travel trailers get the payments stretched out for 20 years!

Door removal required for fridge swap Bigfoot Camper

I was once tasked with taking a fridge out of a molded fiberglass Escape trailer. Even after removing the door it was a real hassle. Everybody in the shop was wondering if the fridge went in before the top of the trailer went on.

Door removal required for fridge swap Bigfoot Camper

No experience with Bigfoot but I’ve taken doors off and windows out of trailers big and small. It’s not too complicated but might add a couple hours to the job if you’ve never done it before. Could try taking the door off of the fridge too but sometimes that gains you nothing.

Frame Strength, Who to Believe! The RV Sales Guy or the New Truck Dealer? Maybe Neither?

I thought every truck made in the last 5-10 years had the payload sticker in the door jam? My 2011 chev 2500 did, my 2020 Ranger does.

Frame Strength, Who to Believe! The RV Sales Guy or the New Truck Dealer? Maybe Neither?

The payload sticker is a bright yellow thing that you step past every time you enter the drivers seat. How do people mess this up?

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

I’ve read in some tire descriptions that they have a feature that limits rocks getting stuck in the tread. Maybe that’s it? Can’t remember what it’s called.

    F150 - 2.7L vs 3.5L vs 5.0L

I’ve never seen anything that really explains it. My Ranger definitely just sounds like it uses the starter. I can see the voltage drop on my plug in voltage gauge also.
