you can get the '92 isuzu bighorns imported from Japan up here for around 10 grand. If you talked to a place like G&s Cruiser parts in vancouver they may be able to import you a half cut. its an awesome 3.1L turbo diesel motor. I test drove one about a month ago and the power was amazing and...
I think you would be better served by selling it and then look for the rig you want not one someone will trade you. Nice Jeep by the way! I also say wheel what you have you would be amazed at how good of an expo vehicle a jeep can make!
as far as I know NONE of the Nuvi products do off road/topo at all. I don't think they will load topo maps and you will be dissappointed in the tracking offroad even if they will load them.
I would call Garmin to double check though. Garmin products that do offroad navigation are the 276/376...
I have a question as well. Can you take a 2 GB SD card and have both maps and music on one? Would be nice also if it read bigger cards not sure if it does.
make sure you get the bottom end bearings in the motor redone as well. Most reputable importers will be doing them but alot are not. Major problem. I have seen two rigs with that motor where the bearings were near failure when changed.

you should see an increase in fuel mileage over time right? there was a fella that did a bunch of testing on a late '80s ford truck with insulating the intake ducting etc. and saw huge improvements in mileage
I am interested in how it works. I have heard mixed reviews. We have a cabin with no power to it and I havea small solar system on it. we get lake wind almost every day. I have heard they require a high wind speed to start making power.
ah I see! :D if thats the case then Yes I think its a great idea if you have the money. I could not believe the difference in steering control after I added the hydro assist. I went from wandering all over the road to actually being able to keep it in one lane. Yes alot was suspension geometry...
for smaller tires theres really no need. If you are having troubles turning 33" tires your toyota pump is probably tired. Its amazing what a new pump will do. I ran a toyota pump with hydro assist and 36" tires and had no troubles.
you also should not have much troubles with the stress on the...
I had one of those 8000 lb champion winches. pure junk! I used it a fair amount but on my sidekick so a fairly light load. the motor packed it in and then when I went to pull it off both bolts snapped off in the housing! Nice!
