ya I haven't heard anything either. The last plan I heard was they were sending a couple of guys with chainsaws in to clear it! Ya that will take a year! I walked the jam with by brother and it was HUGE!
Glad to see you liked our little island of heaven! :wings:
1. first off lower the boom on the tow truck. all its trying to do is lift the front end of the tow truck off the ground.
2. anchor front of tow truck to tree
3. use snatch block to double power and pop out it will come.
You would not believe what I have seen stuck in that Gravel at ferry...
we have a Kelty and love it. its a little big for my wife though. my boy is around 30 lbs and no problems packing him around... yet! He loves the rough stuff as well. we often run downhills and the bouncing makes him laugh.
I envy you though. I cannot wear a hat or sunglasses or they get...
also check out the Canon s5is or the panasonic FZ8/18 for a point and shoot they are a little bigger but the added zoom is awesome. Also Panasonic has the TZ3 which is true pocket size and has a 10x zoom.
I have an older Pana FZ3 and the 12x zoom with the Leica lens grabs some great shots.
I love the STT's although on my impossible to align (and stay that way) sidekick they wore funny even with rotating them and are now loud as hell!
but the first 40K went great. they have amazing wet, snow and dirt traction. better than a BFG MT or AT from what I have experienced. They are like a...
I found on the island at around 30-40% the wet weather traction really started to drop off and I hydroplaned more than normal. the best idea is to talk to your tire store and see what they would give you on a trade. if its still pretty good I would switch.
I also found snow traction to really...
I think your talking about the bias ply versions. the radial swampers I have been around all tend to be pretty good balance wise. bias plys are a whole different ball game!!!
thats funny on the MTR's up here they have faired WAY better than BFG MT's. most people say that BFG sidewalls suck!
Now if only I had 100K for an XV-JP I wouldn't care what tires it had! :D
stay far away from the 2LTE diesel. they had SEVERE overheating and head problems! All the 1990-1992 prados/surfs we get up here I'd say 75% have had the head replaced at a cost of around $2000
nice photos! Little niagra is stunning after a heavy rain!
I will re-issue my invitation that if anyone needs more info on the island let me know and I can provide some and even show you some nice spots!
going to a 60 from an 80 is a downgrade in comforts for sure.
You need to load down a HJ60 and hit the hiway to really see how under powered they are. you would be in the 17-20 mpg range loaded with a rack etc. on it. so not a huge increas in mileage.
I looked long and hard at alot of diesel...
