Gen-1 Tundra Owners-Where do you shop?

It's been a few years though, maybe they bought the correct refill kit after I was there.....and before you started "working" there

Gen-1 Tundra Owners-Where do you shop?

....except, when I bought them and took them there for a rebuild, they were just going to ship them to the west because of that funky port....

Gen-1 Tundra Owners-Where do you shop?

Yeah, I know.....the problem being is the Don's have some funky pressure port for the nitrogen charge and then there is the issue of actually getting them recharged. Motorcycle shop? Never been into the bike scene, so you know, I'd have to do like an internet search to find one......

I love the pic of all the parts laid out just as they go on the LC.......and I dig the old school truck!

    Moby1 owners?

We don't own a Moby (but they look sweet!) but we have our 5x10 homebuilt and have used a 5x8 Silver Shadow. Claustrophobia has never been an issue. We added a window to ours, but the door lets in enough "outside" that it's really un-necessary. The cabin interior is really quite light and does...

    Man Discussion

Hey, I watched that whole video, maybe I missed it.....but I don't think I saw any mention of 0-60 times. How can they pick a winner without those?

Yeah but I'm positive everyone there are better drivers than those in the DC area............seriously

Gen-1 Tundra Owners-Where do you shop?

Maybe if you live on the west coast. Shipping the Icons (Donahoes originally) to the west for a rebuild every couple of years is a pain and adds to the rebuild cost. If I was doing the front from stock I'd do the Bilstein 5100 adjustables. There are a bunch of Gen 1 Tundras running those...

You should race Tango, expedition vehicle to expedition vehicle......I bet the ambulance can take his 4 banger Taco....... ..... if you've ever driven in a city 0-30, 45, and 60 (sometimes 80) can be very very important. on the freeway your 45 (55, or 65) to 80+ can be life or death depending...

    e-books and e-readers: post here

That's what everyone said about real books too. I still love my now ancient Kindle, I've got more books in it than I do my actual library at home.....

    Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx

I will agree! We drove up to PA over the holiday weekend. On Friday we ran into snow on I80 and up into NW PA. Got a total of 9 inches where we were, and ran on fresh slush, unplowed driveways and plowed but still snow covered roads. On the way back south we ran into snow from Berkely...

    C.Shontz 2001 Jeep Cherokee (Progress)

How's the condition of the starter? That could be drawing more juice than before if it's original/oldish....colder weather will exacerbate the issue.

Ground clearance numbers have me confused

It would help to know where exactly they are measuring from. I've got 13" under the front crossmember (just below the front differential), 17" under the framerails, 14" under the rear axle tube, and 11" under the center of the rear diff. The rear diff is the lowest peice overall, everything...

    Vehicle GPS units

We used a Garmin Nuvi 780 for several years and recently upgraded to a Garmin 2555 (with "lifetime" map and traffic updates) both will run a topo map, but I've never seen the need in the vehicle. The maps are complete enough to have most forest roads covered, and if we're really offroad they...

ARB air locker, front vs. rear?

....and the LSD was still a stand alone option, not a standard part of the TRD Off Road package. Get a winch (or at least the Hi-Lift, but using it as a winch one time will convince you to splurge on an electric winch) then lock the rear....[/INDENT]

    The Mongrel: FJ62 body + FZJ80 chassis + turbo diesel + ???

If that's treated lumber you won't have to worry about rot for a few years.....lag bolts would be good and maybe some carpenters glue just to be on the safe side!

    100,000 miles

The part number is 65031 and it is produced by Cequent, which is the parent of Hidden Hitch and Draw Tite (I believe and its the same part number for the different brands) If it looks like this one: then it is the same basic brand as mine. It interferes with the center bolt of the skidplate...
