Finally starting to look like a proper truck and I got my driving lights dialed in. The DENALI D7's are soooooo good!

This 4Runner has been a dream come true for my wife and I. We have always wanted one...
I purchased a Whynter 65 in 2017 and ran it full time in a van until a couple of weeks ago when the person who bought it from us said it started leaking freon. I am sure it was an easy fix, but the new owner opted to drop in a dometic to replace it.
Based on that longevity, I likely wouldn't...
What are your plans for the vehicle? When you say tourer, I think 2+ week long trips at a time with comfort being more important than capability. The Tacoma has a longer wheelbase and "should" be smoother on road. For us, the two doors of the FJ would be a deal breaker for the way we travel...
Do you have a price range? What is considered good mileage. Our GX is a ball to drive and gets 16mpg in the city and around 20-22 on the highway which seems as good as the v6 runner.
I think if you haven't lived in a rural area where a truck bed camper is common, it is really cool. It seems hodge podged together for an OEM design team to have come up with it.
Finally joined the club this Fall. We needed something a little more comfortable for long slogs on highway before getting off-road and the GX fit the bill.
2006 GX470 with 140,000 on the clock. Timing belt and water pump were done at 99k and tires are nearly new. Had maintenance records with...
We just had this chat a while back and put some different perspectives into a blog post: https://www.overlandexpo.com/whats-new/2020/7/20/2021-ford-bronco-how-we-build-it
Not quite the ARB, but we have used our VIAIR 400p to inflate our SUP and packraft, as mentioned, be very careful approaching max pressure.
I prefer to just use the manual pump, but if you use the ARB, cut it short a few pounds and finish it with the manual pump.
In my experience, in equal condition and both manuals, the 22re will feel about as sluggish as a T100. The 22re is tough and reliable. You really can't go wrong with a late 80-s early 90's Toyota truck.
Nope. Going for long term reliability on FS roads and mild off-road tracks. The transmission works well now so I am simply going to replace the motor and hit the road!
It is a long wait. We had a full summer of travel plans lined up and the wait didn't seem so long. Now that we are all sheltering in place, it seems like a long wait. You will definitely learn a lot through doing a swap!
