The cage work is awesome (looks like a well laid plan) and the cowl is genius! Nicely done!
As an aside, a true cowl induction hood is sealed to the carb and actually pulls air into the intake, (If I remember from the late 60's Camaro setup) using the high pressure area (at speed) at the base...
I saw your thread and was going to reply, but I doubt anyone would understand a purely descriptive explanation. I will post pictures when we get to that point. As it stands, the 3/4" plywood wall has a channel routed into the edge, the hatch itself has a "wing" of plywood that will mate to the...
You can if you go through the Xgauge instructions and add the Tank to Empty (I use DTE [distance to empty] as the descriptive ). I'd have to dig out the manual, but it was really easy to do.
Kinda like that big ol clunky Magellan? Mine is a Gold version and has been relegated to hiking Topo map...
Ours stay on the bookcase in the house until a trip, then we go through and pick out the states we'll be in or through. Once in the truck they ride in between the fronts seats (it's a 40/60 bench and the area between makes a perfect map pocket), that makes them accessible as needed.
Well, here I am again, late for the update! We've had a busy week, though and quite a bit has been done, although you will have to wait another day or ten for this weeks update (we're tired and the pictures are on the camera yet) I can give you last weekends goings on.

We started off badly, we...

That's probably as simple as it gets Jay. That sounds like you are just bypassing the control panel. Right?

You can (in the future) always buy a chager/converter like the Intellipower 9260 that we picked up for the tear. It will run your 12volt accessories and charge the battery at the...
Spring under.....they used the short trailer springs that I didn't want, but they're not too stiff so I'll use them for now. Future plans are to get a weight on it and order some longer springs for the actual weight. The springs were a trade-off for the completion date. In reply to your...
It will have 2 layers of 1/8" plywood (and a couple of coats of West System epoxy on that) then an exterior skin of aluminum (0.040" black on the sides and mill finished across the roof and hatch) it should look sweet, professional and match the truck pretty well.
Bob, the lower frame...
