South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

Looks like you got to see quite a lot of nice scenery......beach sand, mountain roads, and not a single stop at a golf course! Michelle looks happy and the photos of the beach and mountains look splendid.

"Old Man's Toy" offroad teardrop trailer

Looks like a good start and a fun project! For the record, our trailer has the same type and size tire as the truck (285/75/16 - technically a 33", but mounted on a vehicle it's about a 32-1/4")

    Airbags or Timbrens

I've been using AirLift AirCells (like Timbrens) on my truck for a few years now. They are great hauling a heavy load, or pulling a trailer. On road, with an empty bed, they are almost unnoticeable. A large bump at speed will get you a bounce off of them, but it's not enough cause an issue...

    Newest Max Coupler

That's the one I have, but with the fix kit installed Sierra 4x4. I think I may contact Chris directly and see about getting the new crush sleeve Thanks, that mirrors my thought on the matter. I've not had any problems with nylocks. I think they are a great invention! Thanks Gabe!

    Newest Max Coupler

Thanks Martyn! That was what I was thinking at the very least, that there should be a washer at the bolt head. Guess I'll make a trip to the magic bolt box in the garage!

    Newest Max Coupler

I have a question on the coupler if someone wouldn't mind answering: The picture shown is the coupler and parts that are installed on our trailer. The trailer manufacturer installed the coupler. Is this all there is for parts? I (maybe mistakenly) believed there was a washer for under the...

    Wandering in CA

I've read this thread twice now (well three now!) with the intent of expressing gratitudes and congratulations to Suntinez for a Wanderings thread well done! I've had to link this into my "Places to Visit" file since there are so many places in Cali that look interesting to me. I'll have to...

Where do you purchase your tires?

I've used Tread Depot, Discount Tire Direct, and (some won't like this) WalMart.com. They are all good. WalMart.com has free shipping to your local store and free mounting and balancing. Discount Tire replaced a tire we ruined (road hazard warranty) for free.....

    campsite pics..lets see um

OK, the field behind my Mom's place in rural Indiana isn't the most exotic locale, and the auction in progress was not conducive to quiet repose, but at least we were able to camp and try out the new trailer.

    Any Tundra Build Pics?

Ha! yeah, that's how I got my ancient Donahoes. Just can't convince myself to long-travel my DD.....you'd think after 9 years I'd convince myself to do the upgrade....

    Any Tundra Build Pics?

Wow! I'm really digging this long travelled, hood-scooped ride! Kinda what I always envisioned for my own truck, but never willing to throw the cash down......

    Any Tundra Build Pics?

I would recommend letting him visit the Tundrabirds thread.....until then, I can give this: It's not the most built truck in existence (heck, it's darned near stock!) but it gets our family and gear to lots of interesting places . . and it's done it's truck the stuff job for 180,000 miles.......

The CrowsWing - Offroad Teardrop Trailer

Hyper building mode, indeed. We spent the last bit of time in a frantic go-to-work-all-day, come home, work-on-the-trailer-til-10PM-eat supper-sleep-repeat cycle. My last real update was on the 5th and we've been running ever since.....I have snuck in a few hopefully witty replies to the...

Camping Fridges - Pros and Cons

.....and right there next to your beer in the slushy water is your bologna sammich wrapped tightly in plastic but still somehow all water logged and gross.....no way an ice cold beer can make that sammich taste better! . of course we've only managed to use our new fridge on one trip, but it...

    02 Tundra "PIT O' GOLD"

The flares add some plastic from the mudflaps that come with them. I do not know if the fenders are actually different. How much lift did you give the Icons? Looks good!
