Have you looked into Delorme Topo 8? I have version 7 and it's pretty close to what you're describing. The aerial and satellite imagery combined with street & trail routing and very good topo maps make it a powerful tool.
This is a highly-debated topic and I'm not sure which to choose. I've read that #7 or 7.5 is a good defensive load at the short ranges one would encounter in a home, but I've also read that it won't penetrate enough to do any real good.
I think we'd all agree that #00 is plenty of stopping...
I think this is a pretty good summation of the differences. The Chaser can hold longer items (18"), but I don't think the main box is any wider at the main part of the box (40"). It's also just slightly shorter.
I chose the Horizon for "easier to set up camp." I really like the kitchen...
I think bleach is unnecessary unless you think you've got something growing in there. Mild soap and warm water should be plenty, especially if you have a brush that can reach in there. A little white vinegar and warm water is good too. I don't like to mix bleach and plastics unless I have to...
I have the Overland. It's the same style mattress as the one in the OverZone. It's too bad that these tents can't use the same mattress as the one in the Maggiolina. That one is excellent.
Aaron, I don't own one, but I know several satisfied customers.
As for purchasing, I don't think you can do better than going directly to Mike Spies himself, owner of Autohome US.
Roger,
I think you mean Batteries Plus. That's the retail chain. They might be okay too, but the one near me was a bit pricey and the sales person knew less about rechargeable batteries than I did. So, I didn't think it was worth it for me to shop there given all the choices we have up...
Roger,
I also think that a place with decent turn-over is a good option. Also, the SPOT is best served with litium batteries instead of alkalines. They last a long time too.
Check with this company www.batteryjunction.com. I buy a lot of batteries from them and they always have good...
Could you shed some light on this scenario? I'm about to head to this very same area and I was planning on carrying for the length of my trip.
Did they make you check it because you don't have a CCW? Or, is the park not honoring CCW permits?
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thank you.
Here's a decent source for batteries and chargers

I use their 123 batteries in my Surefire, Fenix, and Jettbeam flashlights. They don't last quite as long as the Surefire batteries, but they last at least 80-85% as long and they're only $1 each instead of...
The D60 or D90 will serve you just fine. The D90 has more user-friendly controls…like the ability to control both the aperture and the shutter speed with separate dials all within reach of the primary hand. I believe the D60 forces you to use the menu to set a lot of features. Both will do most...
Oh, I was unaware that they would do this kind of thing with all that they have going on. If I had known, I would have certainly pointed the OP in this direction.
The quality and the suspension system of the AT trailers cannot be outdone. Mr. Leary, you should seriously consider an Adventure...
