As said previously, you have to look at the whole picture…not just a single stat. You didn’t even list population estimates to help understand the stat you quoted. 2 minutes on the web and I found these.

As for managing airflow, heat will need to be dealt with regardless. If you're running Vista, at least you could configure the laptop to run on low power (slower though) and that helps somewhat with heat.
I think you're right about this. I think this should work and might be a better setup. I run a 12.1" tablet on a laptop mount and it's bulky and always in the way.
You just need to make sure that you can find a good, secure place to mount your laptop. Also, make sure that it gets decent...
x2 for the Outback oven. Used mine for years. You can also use the dome to keep foods or coffee hot when necessary, if they're not going to be consumed right away.
I've used the super siphon in my Wedco Carb compliant, non-Carb compliant, and Scepter cans. Never noticed a difference in speed or performance. The mouth on all of these cans is large enough that they vent plenty.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned your car insurance. If you have comprehensive coverage, this should be covered. At least, it always has been for me.
Small cracks and chips are always repaired with no out of pocket cost to me. State Farm has no deductible for those.
