    That’s absolutely how we’d configure it. ??

This all started by just wanting a Sherptek on my current rig. That's how I figured out I was overweight. For some things, if I order now, I won't get them for 2 years (Alaska for example). ?

    Conflicted on Camper

I am SO conflicted!!! I know the limitations of the Raven/Silverado combo (small and occasionally goes over GVWR, separate thread on that), but it’s paid for. If I build something new, I’ll put it on the F250 with a well apportioned Sherptek (separate thread on that, essentially a 7.3/4.30...

I am SO conflicted!!! I know the limitations of the Raven/Silverado combo, but it’s paid for. If I build something new, I’ll put it on the F250 with a well apportioned Sherptek. Before even adding a camper, I’ll be into it for $80-$90k depending on what trim I “can’t live without” and what...

Great meeting with Rebecca, Stephan and Ryan today. Now I'm convinced that I'd go F250, no Tremor and have them add Kings on all wheels along with bags that are adjustable on the fly. Expensive, but unique and cool system.

I think the perfect world would be a 6.5’ bed, with a Sherptek deck that will accommodate an 8 foot camper. I think the balance would work, because even Alaskan runs campers handing out with the bed down. I’m meeting Monday at the shop to find out.

When I say “daily driver,” I really mean that figuratively. We don’t drive anything daily. We can walk to work. Most of our regional driving is in a Bolt. I just want to take it skiing several times a week and don’t want to have to seek special parking if we have to use it for groceries. That...

As you can see in our avitar, we do too. I go back and forth between the dream rig and “what the heck am I doing?” Visiting Sherptek Monday. ?

Does he have the fully electric lift, or the one that lifts with the drill? We like our FWC too and haven't ruled a larger one out. As you know it's a battle between more features and comfort vs. ruggedness and reliability. We're both approaching 60 and pushing the top up and pulling it down...

That, but not on a Tundra, is essentially what I’ve been considering. The lack of a dealer even remotely close concerns me a bit. We know a couple with a pretty new Hallmark that leaked and had electrical issues. Traveling 1300 miles to address it has me a little tepid.

Nice rig, but we're ultimately looking for something larger and also a slide in so we can have a deck with lots of outside storage.

That's very cool. Several issues though. Most importantly, no skill and no time. :p The more salient point is that we'd still do a slide in. We want the fold down flanks and hip pockets for external storage. What camper is another question. We like our FWC, but there's a lot to like about...

I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I’m still working on what to shoe it with. I only have one known, Sherptek deck.

That's exactly how I configured, except I added the STX package. :) Tremor BTW won't be offered in anything below Lariat in 2022 due to the chip shortage. Sweet setup though!

I haven't looked at the Tremor package, but I will. My main goal was to build a fully capable rig as cost effectively as possible. Because we want more space in the camper, we'd trade the crew cab for a supercab to get an 8' bed without the ginormous wheelbase (still pretty long though). That...

This will live with the camper (likely a FWC, but possibly a Scout) on full time.

I run 32s on my Silverado. I'd probably just get the biggest E rated tire they spec. Best to set it up for flexibility later though. Thanks!

I think more power and torque are probably always better. I just don't have a clue as to what MPG compromise it will make? If the delta is 1 MPG, no big deal. Ten...big deal.

Is the increased torque worth the decreased economy if we aren't trailering? Mind you, I know nothing about these choices. I've always just gotten what vehicles came with. Ordering opens up these options. Thanks!

I think the 7.3 Ford Super Duty is the way to go. Now on to a few questions. 250 or 350? My gut says 350 as it would be smart to prep for a full hard side some day. Mod the suspension or stock? If modding, what changes? Transmission? Most seem to be spec‘d with 3.55 electronic locking. Any...
