The Africa makes me wonder if Jeep could do a 4 door Wrangler XL with a variety of packages from base( w/ manual) all the way up to full on luxury and cover all their bases? Compete with the premium Toyota lineup, as well as Land Rover and Mercedes. Probably take some of the XL GM and Ford suv...

The Yakima stuff is a good idea. If you ever decide you don't want it or want to reconfigure, used stuff is readily available and it holds its value well.

My gut says element and rtt for reliability and versatility. My experience with VW is expensive, my experience with Honda not so much.
