TundraBirds Go! Picture Thread for Tundras and T-100s

If I can get 285s on a 1-1/2" lift, you should be able to get them on a DC with a 1-3/4" (ymmv, some cutting was required for my front flares) . . . this was our latest trip no cool wheeling pics like yours though

    RoadTraveler.net is launched by Redline

I did notice when I clicked the link on my favorites tab that the link didn't work. I had to find the roadtraveler site and relink it.....it's all good now. Keep rollin'! I dig the site....

    Bed?

Our solution is a large tent (10x10) and two cots. The cots are like sleeping in a bed and comfortable. It's not as "cool" as sleeping in your truck and certainly not as cool (or as pricey)as an RTT on your truck, but a good nights sleep is one of the most important parts of a good trip. It...

    Our Silver (Shadow) Honeymooniversary

On our Honeymooniversary Day (Wednesday the 6th) we planned a little trip up North to the Queechee Gorge (we read in the Gazetteer that it was a must see) and the Queechee Village (oohh, antiques!). We rolled up to Queechee but we were a little disappointed as the best view was from the road...

    Our Silver (Shadow) Honeymooniversary

Our Silver (Shadow) Honeymooniversary OK so it's not really our Silver Anniversary (yet) , it's really only our 20th (but we started dating 5 years prior so we have been together for 25 years), but for our Anniversary present to each other we did rent a Silver Shadow (it looks Platinum in...

    !!!! Attention tundra owners!!! Rocksliders

I dig the look of "the Dudes" homebuilt set. Something similar to his outer rails on your square piece would be cool....

    100,000 miles

It uses the 2 bolts for the tow hooks and a 3rd that you drill the hole for further back on the frame. The nut has a nice handle mounted to it so you can fish it into the frame through an existing opening....

What are you using for BBQ Grills

We use the Cadac Safari Chef, we picked it up last season and it works well. It's a little small if you're trying to grill some really nice big porterhouse steaks, or food for a lot of peeps, but for 2-4 people for burgers or average sized steaks it works well. It's very portable in it's own...

    100,000 miles

In a vehicles never ending quest for entropy, I actually had a real part failure last month. The little parking brake cable inside the passenger drum snapped in two. The drivers side was still intact but it couldn't hold enough by itself to hold the truck on a hill. And since the parking brake...

    Building a RTT Rack

Just saw this thread and thought I may as well show mine. It's not an RTT rack, but it could very easily become one if I desired. I do have a short write up here,: . As it's stored in the garage for the winter: As it sits on the truck. The side rails keep the main body of the rack high enough to...

    !!!! Attention tundra owners!!! Rocksliders

Round tube or square, I don't really care. As long as it looks nice with the truck and keeps the rocks from biting my rockers. . I would prefer a bolt-on set . I would like the main rail in close to the body line at the front door (because my wife gets upset when she gets out of the truck and...

2000 Tundra Suspension advie - non lift

Since you are replacing stuff can you pick up a new set of front springs too? Then you can install them on the Bilsteins and swap out the old coliover for an entirely new set. Rears - Deavers, Alcans or stock, you really can't go wrong.... I've got the AirCells on mine. They only touch with...

2000 Tundra Suspension advie - non lift

I'd go for the adjustable 5100's set at their lowest (stock height) setting. You'll get a better ride than the yellow shocks and if you ever change your mind about the height...... . Timbrens or Airlift Air Cells in the rear, a no hassle no air required option compared to air bags. Paired with...

Best year Tacoma? AKA the never ending post

If memory serves correctly the 1st Gen Access Cab Tundra and the 2005+ 4door shortbed Tacoma have very nearly the same wheelbase. The 2005-2006 Tundra Double Cab and the 2005+ Tacoma 4door longbed also have nearly the same wheelbase. . The newer Tacomas are only slightly narrower than the...
