    Hi-lift mount

Two tools, with two almost completely different purposes. Your stock scissor jack, although very useful for changing tires is not a recovery tool. If you can find one, the military HMMWV scissor jack has impressive spread, useful for other lifted vehicles. They're just a bit bulky.

    Hi-lift mount

Both of my bumpers are steel, and notched for Hi-lift use. I also have a bug full of the popular Hi-Lift accessories; (Jack-jaw (will lift from my step/sliders), Lift-Mate, Jackmate, and extra rings so I have most any occasion covered but the funny thing is the one item I have used more than...

    Death Valley - February 2015

The nearest fuel terminal is well over 100 miles away, think about how much trucking fuel that far adds to cost.

Wrangler Tire Size - Overland, Trail, and Other

I wondered if that would happen. It was such an orphan of a size. I looked at them but the limited availability of replacements in the event of destroyed tire killed that size for me.

Wrangler Tire Size - Overland, Trail, and Other

That would be KM2 LT265/70R17E's. Too small, IMO. I bought a set of these take-offs for our JKUS when we bought it. They served us well until I up-sized.

choosing a basic Jeep in 2015

When we bought our JKUS in 2013 we went with the regular resale options, power windows, locks, auto, etc. where we were choosy was in insisting on the tow package and one equipped with 3.73 gears. My only complaint is not getting a Dana 44 up front. The air lockers we're installing are...

choosing a basic Jeep in 2015

The 3.6 has almost 100hp over the old 3.8. For that reason alone I would not recommend a JK older than 2012.

Who makes these rear corner protectors

I'm pretty sure the owner of this Jeep posts here, or a EP member is familiar with the build, or maybe somebody here might know who makes the corner protectors pictured on this Jeep. I was about to order the AEV corners but I like these better. I like the rail, which looks to be a great...

TrekboxX drawer system for JK idea thread

I'd prefer that 3.5" be left alone. I have a folding table there.
