    Jeep Cherokee CB Radio placement

I made a center overhead console and mounted it up top. I have a K40 antenna mounted on my front bumper. The whole combo works great for me. ~James

Lurker getting more serious: Need help deciding on a Rig

Sounds like you have already made your decision, and if you have clearance from the tower, go ahead and pull the trigger on the Rubicon. I think you would be able to sell the rubicon easily with the least amount of loss compared to the others if it doesnt work out. Welcome to the portal...

My gutter mounts have been holding up really well on the XJ. I have 3 mounts on each side, and just a simple rack with my RTT mounted to it. You will LOVE the new RTT. ~James

Stumptaco's has gone over to the darkside..XJ style.

Wow... thanks for dragging this up from the dead. I need to do some updating for sure. The rack has been working flawlessly, especially the mounting. I have wheeled the crap out of it, and had it flexed as much as it can physically flex with no issues to speak of. I have had over 500 pounds on...

    FS: 2005 Yamaha TW200

Free bump. I borrowed a used one of these things from the motorcycle shop I used to be the service manager at for a weekend one time. I thought for sure it would be just a dorky little toy bike, but I had a BLAST riding it around. Took it and a bunch of gear to the fishing pond, rode plenty of...

Need a Hot water shower and soon

I use the extreme, nice and simple, and works great for me. Can easily get two showers on one fill. I run a hose off of my bulk propane bottle/distribution tree, so no need for the little bottles. Also, the burner that comes with the extreme works AWESOME for my 16 inch Wok. Its GREAT for big...

Can you give me some rough demensions of the white small pick-up box (the toyota/contractor box)? That would be a great start for a cool expo trailer. Also, which Lebanon are you in? the one by Cin.? ~James

    dana 35 ok for overlanding?

Exactly what Root Moose said. Unbolt D35, bolt in 29 spline 8.25 and forget about it. You can get them all day long at the junk yard for cheap. I beat the crap out of my bone stock 8.25 with 33's. ~James

Ok, that has nothing to do with this thread. I see what you mean, though everyone that has that unit swears by it. I guess its a leap of faith. ~James

    Roadless Gear Releases Wireless model

Tom, are you looking at the right picture/reading? The roadless gear is the top photo, its not a dash mount unit. The photo below is from milemarker, and IS a dash mount unit. The electrical connectors have been soldered on and shrinkwrapped. It doesnt get much better than that. They are not...

    Roadless Gear Releases Wireless model

Ok, my roadless gear order came in a few days after I ordered it, but I was in the middle of moving back to the states from overseas, so I had it delivered to my parents home. I was at their place this past weekend for Fathers day and opened up the box. Slight problem. I ordered, and was...

Drifta Kitchen might be coming here

Luke emailed me a few months back asking my opinions on whether I thought the drifta kitchens would do well in Europe also, he has someone in the Scandanavian countries intersted in making the kitchens. Not sure if anything ever came of it, but its good that he is looking to expand his company...

Virgin steel fairlead and Amsteel Blue?

I prefer my hawse style fairlead now with the synthetic, but I wouldnt hesitate to use a like new condition roller fairlead (steel rollers or other) on a synthetic line. As long as there is nothing to 'nick' the synthetic, it should be just fine imo. ~James

    Snorkel install on xj

I made my own airbox adapter and have it coming into the side of the airbox since my snorkel was missing the box adapter. It gets the hose out of the way better if you ask me, and its a little more direct run to the box. I also removed my fender to make it easier for installation. Mine is also...
