@shade....First off I have no skin in the Moby 1 game, so lets just get make that clear. From what I have read there are some very strange coincidences going on between Vorsheer and Moby One. The are quite a few people who have been duped out of A LOT of money. The coincidences whether they...
It sure is dread. One of the things I look at is where the heck is my Chessie going to sleep. When builders say optional bunk for small children on the options page I usually think of my dog.
See this thread. I do not think any US Builder even remotely comes close to putting in the suspension Bruder does though.

I personally dont need anything hardcore off road and a torsion axle will be fine. Maybe as Trailmarker matures a bit as a company they will offer a solid A/C unit. It appears that the location of most of these builders and their immediate client base dictates that a solid heater in the...
Also, Lindsay from Teton X told me she saw this thread and is following it with great interest. She is very helpful so please lets mind our manners. She is happy to assist anyone with any questions they may have. You can email her at lindsay@tetonx.com.
I just received this from Lindsey at Teton X after I told her thanks but I was looking for an aluminum substructure in the cabin of the trailer that I plan on purchasing.
We do have an aluminum sub structure. There is an interior frame in 2x2 aluminum that supports the roof, the awning etc. Is...
This statement is ridiculous. There are plenty of builders that offer trailers in the 32-35k range that offer quite a bit of customization. I fully realize that every trailer manufacturer has models that do not tick the boxes for every buyers needs. After you research enough of them there is...
Tried this approach multiple times and it was a no go with each manufacturer. I'm really not that fussy about the type of A/C unit that would be used by the builder, as long as it is not an external type "toy" that looks like it was built the same way as the ones made for dog houses.
Maybe we will get lucky and Mark from Mission Overland will set up an operation in the US. Then we could get exactly what we want. That Teton X Hybrid would have been a real winner for me if it was Aluminum framed and composite.
Aircon is not trivial to me as it makes the 25-30k trailer unfit to sleep in from April through late September here. Also, it is something I wouldn't feel comfortable cutting into the shell and installing myself.
I have heard way too many bad stories and read too many bad reviews on them to even consider using one. I learned a very long time ago that buying substandard anything just ends up costing more money in the long run. I really don't know why a lot of these builders make that junk their only...
From Teton X just now referring to the material used for the cabin frame:
We use an Italian poplar hardwood. Sheeted with laminate on the inside, and skinned in an .040 aluminum on the outside.
Maddening just maddening I tell ya! 10 month wait time, 50% due 30 days before build start date and...
I have an inquiry out to them on the Hybrid but have not heard back. Their other trailer models have wooden frames. One thing you will notice with these trailer builders is that they always like to mention the powder coated steel chassis or "frame" but they like to leave out that the main...
I would consider the Teton X hybrid in a heartbeat if it was an aluminum framed box structure. I just dont know how well a wood framed trailer would hold up the the extreme humidity and salty environment for as many nights as I would be using it for.
