Camper + trailer: how do you deal with wiring/plugs?

I always run the fridge on propane (or shore, if we're glamping). Thanks for the tip. But I definitely like the idea of the bed mount using the kit mentioned above. Think I'll order it this weekend.

Wrong. Or, please tell me where you shop if you can do front springs, a rear leaf, and a sway bar for $160! Nevermind the factory slide-in camper certification, which goes a long way in any warranty issue, something "most of us" could never expect. The original poster here is concerned about...

FWIW, Ford is the only brand that actually still offers a "camper package" as an option. From the 2015 model specs: Camper Package (restrictions apply) includes front springs upgrade (unless maximum springs have been computer-selected as included equipment), rear stabilizer bar (SRW)...

Camper + trailer: how do you deal with wiring/plugs?

That's a good looking plug-play solution - I'm not against cutting wires, but I can think of better ways to spend my free time! Thanks

    Surely you didn't "need" a 4" lift to fit 35's on a 1-ton RAM?!?

I'd thought of that too, but it's only lights for both camper and trailer.

Camper + trailer: how do you deal with wiring/plugs?

I finally have a chance to really optimize our slide-in camper experience, by hitching up our small sailboat behind the rig... but there's one problem: I can't [easily] plug in both the camper (round 7-pin) and the boat trailer (flat 4-pin) to my dual plug receptacle at the same time. The plug...

Lagun table mount in Northstar(Texson) TS 1000

Ha! Spot on! I still haven't mounted mine for this exact reason - I can't settle on a location that is actually feasible. Good idea here, thanks for sharing.

Truck shopping is fun! Back on the weight/load topic: those are some nice charts and numbers on the Ram, but they don't mean anything until the truck is built/delivered and you look at the official GVWR sticker with actual numbers for that specific vehicle. A 3/4 ton can come with anywhere...

You're fine - all the short beds are within an inch or so of 6.5'. Maybe Brian's just referring to the super short half ton crew cabs with 5.5' beds??? Posting this from inside our TC, parked beside a lake!

I'm gonna stay far, far away from Ford/Dodge/GM question... it's generally like throwing alcohol in a fire! (but it's pretty obvious who my favorite is)

Not sure why you would "need" the wrap? And, what the truck make has to do with it? I thought it was just an option, purely aesthetic. Our TC doesn't have the wrap and I've had it on two fords.

Why aren't ute or tray back style campers more prevalent in the US?

Stan just proved it again - the Aussies make the best ute trays! Great looking rig there! Every time I see the flat bed FWC, I want to love it, but that tiered cabover is so, well, unattractive (sorry)! Is there a good reason for it?

I have to correct Brian - GVW sticker is mandated on drivers side door sill. Glovebox stuff is, for the most part, generic. C - use our stories as reference, and most importantly, you gotta buy what you like!

Just an FYI on efficiency: I LOVED my Ecoboost F150, I really did. It averaged 17.8mpg for the 20k miles I put on it, mostly empty. With the TC650 loaded up, it only got 12-13mpg. My F250 (it's actually the old 5.4L, I'm sure the 6.2 is a bit better) gets 13-14 with or without the camper. The...

F150 w/2770# payload is a special order on the 2015/2016 at most dealerships, very few/none of them will show up with that package. I almost considered that option, but in April, the build time was 8-10 weeks out. That same week, a nice F250 showed up in trade and made my decision easier. So...
