Looking for a cover for my Northstar TC 650

Yeah, but I would say only if it's covered. I think being folded has much less effect than baking out in the sun for the soft sides. Also, it's such a tiny camper, it helps keep the cover off the ground!

Looking for a cover for my Northstar TC 650

Reg is right, covers will all get ripped up eventually. I'd love a canopy for mine... someday. In the meantime, here's a fairly cheap option (looks like its on sale now too): Camco 45771 16.5' ULTRAGuard Slide-In Camper Cover (78"LC x 108"HB x 44"HC x 106"W) by Camco...

    Northstar TC650EC and Dodge 3500

Why not copy the factory: order a gas strut! I also noticed the new strut feature at Truck Camper Warehouse the other day, and it looks like everything else is the same (door, frame, etc), so the new strut should bolt right on to our older models. BTW: what awning is that (make/model)?

***SOLD*** Just traded my 2011 F150 for an F250 and I have the following for sale: Full set of front and rear frame-mounted tie downs, intended for securing a slide-in truck camper. These are made by Torklift and are a specific, no-drill fit for a 2009-2014 Ford F150 (w/6.5' bed, all cabs)...

New Northstar TC650 and 2013 Toyota Tundra

Sweet looking rig! We love our TC650, such a well-made camper. Question about your hitch-mounted gear rack: is it on a pivot/hinge by any chance? I've been looking for some good solutions for more storage, but don't want to block the door.

    Camper and Truck Photos

Too funny... I just picked up a white F250 (to use with our TC650xb) last week and went back in this thread to find that same photo of your rig for cues on how to make a giant white truck look not so "whale-like"!

    SOLD______NorthStar TC650 & Chevy 1500HD plus Mod's

Nothing wrong with leverage, but my kid can crank up our TC650, with the OEM handle. Maybe check/lube the rest of the mechanism?

It might be ridiculous! But can I cut 17 inches off my Palomino Truck Camper Pop-up?

Sounds pretty ambitious! I'm sure there's a workaround for the pop mechanism (although I'm really not sure what it looks like in a Bronco), I would be more worried about general integrity of the camper after a chop. Would you re-frame most of the bottom? If you did, you'd have to re-skin the...

Finally took my Pop-up/Tundra to the Scales - What a pig!

I didn't need to read this thread after browsing the local inventory of Ford Superduty trucks! I know I'm overweight with my F150 and Northstar TC650. Air bags and E-rated tires make it "feel" ok, but I'm definitely shopping for a 3/4 or 1-ton truck. You read all the stories of "been to Alaska...

    FWC rear wall bike mounts

It doesn't look very cool, but add a front mount hitch and use the bike rack you already have. Fork mounts bolted through a thin camper wall would make me nervous with anything heavier than a carbon road bike.

Looking for a table leg replacement for NS TC800 dinette

Have you seen the Lagun cockpit table leg Northstar is using in the new TC's? About 2/3 way through this article, there's some detailed shots of it. I've been considering upgrading the one in my own TC650. http://www.truckcampermagazine.com/news/tcm-exclusive-2015-northstar-650sc The guys at...

    pop up truck camper cover

Definitely "overstating" the durability. We had a proper wind storm this weekend and one of the velcro loops attaching to the jack legs tore off. I think a whole winter of blowing, freezing, dripping and re-freezing would tear this cover to shreds. Again, I'm happy with it for fair weather and...

    Pop up w/ 3rd bed

Another vote for the Northstar with XB option. I bought one new, specifically for that option and don't regret it one bit. Really turns a pop-up into a viable family-friendly camper.

    pop up truck camper cover

I bought a Camco cover on Amazon that's worked very well. I have it cinched up all the way to make it fit the small popup, but it works. In fact, I leave the camper popped up so the cover doesn't sit on the ground. For very little money, I figured I'd give it a go/better than nothing. Matches...
